Stories

The Internet is filled with many amazing dog stories. Some of them are hilarious, others are very educational, but my favorite ones are usually the rescue stories. There is just something so heartwarming about knowing that a struggling dog has found his happily ever after and changed his family’s lives forever. Those are the best….

Kindness is a trait that is often overlooked in today’s world. We are just so used to seeing all the bad things that we don’t even notice the millions of great things happening around us. It’s easy to get lost in all of the negatives surrounding us, but sometimes it’s important to focus on the…

Saving stray dogs’ lives is a challenge. Most of the time, it requires a lot of patience and dedication, especially given that plenty of these four-legged furballs are not easy to catch. Driven by fear and trauma from life on the streets, it takes time for stray dogs to start trusting people. And, as a…

Nothing warms up my heart more than a pup who is being treated the way they deserve.  Unfortunately, the world isn’t too kind to animals. There are so many instances of neglect and abuse that I can’t even begin talking about it without crying.  All these animals want is for us to love and play…

When a big-hearted family came across a tall brown pup with a black muzzle roaming the streets of Camarillo, California, they offered him a helping hand and took him home. The family cared for him and the Great Dane was extremely grateful to them. He got along with the family’s children and dogs. Believing that…

We may never know Ladybug’s backstory, but her soulful eyes reveal her emotions and the suffering she went through. A Pit Bull mix was found as a stray in Flint, Michigan. She roamed the area for days until a Good Samaritan finally managed to capture her and take her to Genesee County Animal Control. Ladybug…

Other than adopting dogs, there are many ways all of us could do more to help strays across the world find a shelter or a forever home. A simple solution would be to help them by taking them to the nearest sanctuary where they can get help. However, if that doesn’t work out, a simple…

When a shelter employee spotted a heartless owner dumping their two dogs from their pickup truck in front of Lucky’s Crew Animal Rescue in Bakersfield, she was both shocked and heartbroken. Once the two Belgian Malinois were left on the road, they looked at their owner in confusion.  Although they mistreated them, the dogs started…

Dog ownership is a beautiful thing, but it definitely isn’t all roses and sunshine. It takes a lot of effort to properly train your furry companion, and even then, you just need to accept some of their quirks. I’m talking about a Husky’s drama, a Corgi’s loud barks, a Chi’s bossy personality, and a Hound’s…

When a lonely stray dog appeared at a parking lot of a Hyatt hotel in Texas, the hotel staff and guests were surprised to see him. Sensing that these humans would show him kindness, the pup started coming to the parking lot every night. Everyone at the hotel was delighted with him. They fed him…

Trying to help a dog who has been in a shelter can’t be an easy task for rescuers. I mean, they know that the pup is slowly getting uncomfortable, but there is little they can do. Taking them out for walks and giving them food and a comfortable space to live in does help, but…

Dogs. Our beloved mind readers and unconditional supporters! They stand with us through literally everything: happiness, storms, heartbreaks, lazy days… you name it. Peeking her interest, Mae decided to get closer. That was when she realized that the white fluff…

If dogs could speak, I’m sure they would define happiness as having a wonderful family who adores them and a loving home where they feel safe. Unfortunately, many dogs struggle to find the happiness they all deserve. Chiquitita, a 12-year-old pup, is one of the sweet shelter pups who is on a quest to find…

The festive season is upon us and even our four-legged friends want to celebrate it the right way. Sadly, this is not a privilege afforded to all dogs, but only a few lucky ones. Aside from food and shelter, one thing that can make life difficult for any stray pup is other animals who are also competing for the same thing on the street. In a different environment, dogs, cats, and other animals would thrive together, but because they were left in such cruel conditions, they are forced to…

Growing up with a dog is probably one of the most life-changing experiences and I mean that quite literally. All dogs want to have a caring family who would give them a forever home and show them what love feels like. Sadly, too many dogs never experience the love their hearts yearn for because they live with heartless breeders who keep them in order to make a profit. Chanel was one of the breeding…
