A Sudden Change
Teddy is a sweet, hyper, and incredibly loving dog in Texas who just needed the right environment to thrive. But his journey with his current family started during a difficult time.
The narrator’s aunt originally owned Teddy in Texas, but she struggled with severe anxiety. Eventually, she realized she couldn’t provide the care the energetic dog needed.
“She’s like, ‘Oh, I can’t really stay with the dog,'” his new owner recalled. Without hesitation, the family in Texas decided to step up.
“I said, ‘Okay, you know what? Let’s go get this dog.'”
Settling Into A New Life
It has now been three years since Teddy joined his new household, and he has completely taken over their hearts.
He loves to cuddle, craves attention, and brings a constant source of happiness to the home. In fact, his family jokes that he has it better than they do.
“If you spent a day with Teddy, you would see that he has a better life than us,” his owner shared.

A Strange Standoff
Everything was perfectly normal until one day, Teddy started acting very strangely near the front entrance.
He planted himself right at the door and absolutely refused to move.

“When we look out the door and look, sure enough, there’s a package,” his owner explained.

“Teddy doesn’t bite shoes, he doesn’t bite wires, he doesn’t bite anything else,” his owner noted.
He only cares about the packages. Furthermore, if the box already has his family’s scent on it, he leaves it completely alone.
The Master Unboxer
When Teddy is allowed to go to work on a fresh delivery, he takes his job very seriously.
He puts his paws right on the box and bites it all up like he has full control of the situation.
He has torn into packages so thoroughly that he leaves shredded paper all over the floor.
“You want somebody to open it? That’s the best person to go to,” his owner laughed.
The Perfect Enrichment
Even Teddy’s former owner, the aunt, is amazed by his quirky new hobby when she hears about his antics.
While cleaning up the shredded cardboard might be a chore, the family doesn’t mind one bit.
They recognize that attacking packages is simply his favorite form of entertainment and enrichment.
“Our family loves it,” his owner said. “It makes him happy, he enjoys it.”
