Nurses Immediately Jumped Into Action When Poor Little Babies Fell Into A Deep Hole

It is normal for animals to spend their lives in nature where they truly belong. However, since people today prefer a more urban way of life, there are more and more cities where these creatures are forced to find their way.

There are many examples of them often not performing at their best, and one day, the hospital employees in Oceanside, New York, were convinced of this.

Namely, while they were looking out of the window facing the hospital parking lot, they saw a group of cute little beings passing by with their mother.

However, at one point, nine out of a total of ten of them suddenly disappeared – they fell into a sewer.

When the nurses realized what had happened, they didn’t wait a minute but immediately jumped into action.

Rescue From The Deepness

These great people were soon at that place, but unfortunately, the mother duck and one of her ducklings weren’t there anymore

The nurses were shocked when they realized how deep the hole was that these poor little creatures had fallen into. They were also heartbroken when they heard their cries from the deep. However, they didn’t have much time to despair and immediately set out on a rescue mission.

Their cries motivated them to do everything to save these little fellows as soon as possible. Fortunately, they were able to do that successfully by using a chain tied to a Jeep as a safety line.

Yet, although they thought they had saved them all, only six ducklings were on the surface while the remaining three were still crying inside.

Because of this, they also called firemen from the local fire department for help. These people were quickly on the scene, and together, they finally managed to bring this rescue mission to an end.

It was a true joy to see all the ducklings together, out of harm’s way.

Finally, In Safe Hands

The well-known wildlife rehabilitator, Karenlynn Stracher, was delighted with the happy outcome of this rescue operation. She took the babies home so they could begin recovering from their ordeal.

Although they had everything they needed in her home, these cute little ducklings didn’t stay there for long but soon moved to Animal Nation, a wildlife rehabilitation facility located in Westchester County, New York.

Because of this, they had a bright future ahead of them, even though only a few days ago, they were in complete darkness.

Karenlynn was over the moon because of this fact, but she was even more happy because of the people who made that possible for these little beings.

“[I] was impressed by their bravery,” Stracher told The Dodo. “It really is a testament to their caring nature [that they] watch out for not just humans, but wildlife as well. They are amazing people for doing what they did!”

It was the happiest ending, all thanks to the big-hearted people who are always ready to help and save lives.
