A Freezing Discovery
It was a particularly cold and rainy day when a rescuer stumbled upon a tiny, soaking wet puppy.
The little dog was completely exposed to the elements, and her tiny body was shivering uncontrollably.
"I’ve never touched a puppy that cold, to be honest," the rescuer recalled.
She knew immediately that the situation was dire and scooped the freezing animal into her arms.
A Race Against Time
Desperate to raise the puppy’s body temperature, the rescuer rushed her straight to the veterinary clinic.
She sat with the tiny dog, gently comforting her and saying, "You’re safe now, honey."
The medical team worked quickly to slowly heat the puppy back up to a safe level.
The vet delivered a sobering reality: if she had been found just a couple of hours later, she wouldn’t have survived.
Searching for Mom
After getting the puppy settled and safe, the rescuer couldn’t shake the feeling that she needed to go back.
She returned to the exact spot where she had found the little dog, hoping to ensure no other puppies were left behind in the freezing rain.
Locals in the area pointed her in the right direction, saying, "There’s the mom."
They assured her that the mother dog had only given birth to one puppy, making the search a little easier.

"We reunited them both at the vet, and they recognized each other and it was super cute," the rescuer shared.
Thriving in Foster Care
The rescuer decided to name the mother dog Pamela and her little puppy Zeina.
Both dogs went to live in her home, where they were given the time and space to completely heal.
Zeina quickly showed off her spunky personality, proving to be a "little rascal" and a troublemaker despite her tiny size.
They both transformed from scared strays into healthy, happy dogs ready for adoption.
Another Vulnerable Family
Selina, a dedicated rescuer, also encountered another heartbreaking situation involving a wild, unapproachable pregnant dog.
The smart mama dog had found shelter in an abandoned house to give birth to her litter.
Selina started feeding her daily to ensure she was strong enough for the delivery.
When the puppies were finally born, Selina cautiously navigated the scary abandoned house until she heard their hungry cries.
A Heartbreaking Loss
Among the litter, Selina found one puppy who was significantly smaller and more fragile than the rest.
She named the tiny girl Fiorella and took her home to bottle-feed her, letting the puppy sleep on her chest for warmth.
Tragically, Fiorella had a severe birth defect, and the vet could do nothing to save her.
She passed away peacefully on Selina’s chest within 24 hours, surrounded by love in her final moments.
A Promise to Keep
Devastated by the loss, Selina made a solemn promise to little Fiorella.
She vowed to keep the rest of the siblings healthy and safe, no matter what it took.
Because the mother dog was too wild to catch, Selina visited the abandoned house twice a day to cook for them and clean their space.
