A Terrifying Fate

On one side, there is a tiny mouse who weighs less than a gumball. On the other is a 92-pound pit bull mix who is built like a small tank.
Together, they have formed a friendship that defies all logic and expectations.
Carolyn the mouse almost didn’t have a story to tell. Her life was supposed to end at an animal shelter.
An officer had brought the tiny creature in with a specific, grim purpose in mind. Her fate was sealed to become dinner for a pet snake that very night.
But a kind-hearted volunteer happened to be at the right place at the right time. She accidentally intercepted the little mouse, saving her life in the nick of time.
Finding A Safe Haven

Carolyn wasn’t the only rescue animal in the home. She shared her new life with Cowboy, a massive pit bull mix.
Cowboy had been adopted as a nine-week-old puppy from Angel City Pit Bulls. His mom was endlessly grateful to the rescue for bringing the sweet boy into her life.
Now fully grown at 92 pounds, Cowboy was affectionately described by his mom as a “house hippo.”
The Gentle Giant
Introducing a tiny rodent to a giant dog could have been a recipe for disaster. But Cowboy proved to be the literal definition of a gentle giant.
He was incredibly aware of his massive size around his tiny new sister. Instead of being rough, it was almost as if he used his bulk to protect her.
