He rarely climbed more than one flight of stairs, lounging instead on his favorite spot downstairs.
Then one evening he surprised his owner by scaling four full flights and arriving at the top, panting and determined.
What made him climb so high? At first, the New York owner thought it was excitement, maybe a toy or treat.
But the moment he got there and posted the video online, people realised there was a whole different reason behind the climb.
What Was The Reason Behind It?
It started as an ordinary day for this owner from New York who was just minding her own business when her dog suddenly came up the stairs to demand something.
The woman, Sarah Newlon, was confused because her dog, Bowie, rarely comes upstairs unless he wants to ask his mom for something special.
She believed the same thing now, so she went downstairs to see what Bowie wanted. When she got down, she didn’t see anything at first.
He was looking at something in front of her, so she tried to test him. She believed that Bowie might have left some treats outside, but she found out that he didn’t want to go outside.
Then, she looked around for a little bit and it all became apparent. There was a very small treat on one of the tables, and he wanted it.
He climbed four flights of stairs to tell his owner about a tiny treat that was on the table. I mean, that is just comedy. Even Sarah was stunned by this.
Well, His Plan Worked
After this went down, Sarah was still in a bit of a shock so she decided to upload the clip of her dog begging her to pick up the treat to her TikTok channel.
Bowie’s reaction and the entire event just went viral, and they amassed a lot of attention and likes. So many people went on to share their thoughts in the comments.

What surprised me was that he didn’t even try to pick it up himself. He went to his owner to ask for permission first, and that is really funny.

Well, he’s only five and that is not really old. However, the idea about an automated treat dispenser does sound good.

You know, now that I think about it, he did deserve an additional treat. One simply isn’t enough. He should have been given more.
