When Prue, the founder of an animal shelter by the name of Mission Pawsible, went to a local market, she heard some pretty upsetting noise.
With some investigation, she came to the realization that it was actually the cries of a pup in need.
The pup, later named Dolly, was in pretty rough shape, and as soon as Prue noticed that, she knew that she needed to help her.
Rescue Mission
The pup was extremely frightened and managed to find herself shelter inside a box so that she could hide away from the world. When Prue found her, she noticed that Dolly’s skin was completely plagued by scabies.
When Dolly noticed that Pure was getting closer, she got spooked and ran away into a public toilet.
For Prue, this was the perfect place to capture this pup and finally take her somewhere safe.
She closed the door from the stall Dolly was in, brought her some food in order to gain her trust, and just like that, managed to get her in a kennel.
“All I wanted to do was work quickly to get her out of there. And we did that to the best of our ability,” Prue told Cuddle Buddies.
Even though Dolly still didn’t seem to trust the hoomans who saved her, she soon realized that they were doing her a huge favor.
New Life
When they arrived at the clinic, Dolly was immediately given medicine for her scabies.
“We did have her medicated for her scabies because it was so incredibly bad. But we wanted to give her as much relief as possible as soon as possible,” she added.
Since Prue was well aware that clinics are not really peaceful places for pups to truly relax and learn to trust hoomans again, she decided to take her into her home.
Initially, Dolly didn’t really trust her and Prue wasn’t sure how to fix that. But, considering that she had other dogs in her care, she thought that it would be the perfect environment for her to understand that she had nothing to be scared of.
“One day, my dogs were up on the couch they’re all having scratches, Dolly would look on curiously and be like ‘Okay, I think I would like a bit of that starching stuff’. Eventually, she did come forward and it was a very special moment,” Prue stated.
At that moment, Dolly understood that this hooman wanted only what was best for her, and she was finally able to relax.
One Happy Pup
After spending some time in Prue’s care, Dolly became a brand-new dog. Her fur grew again, and she was in perfect health.
She loves spending time running around and playing with any two or four-legged friend she comes across.
It is truly incredible to see an animal become unrecognizable after finding out what being loved is all about.
