Remember the chills and that feeling of uncertainty when you sent your dog to daycare for the first time? I know I do!
Well, recently, it was Bauer’s turn to say the first “see you” to his mom and dad at a Florida daycare, and his owners weren’t sure how he would react.
When the time finally arrived to pick him up from his first day, Bauer’s dad waited patiently in front of the door to greet his pup.
He decided to capture the puppy’s reaction on camera, not knowing it would soon steal the hearts of thousands all over the internet!
I Missed You, Dad
One thing is for sure: Bauer truly missed his dad despite being away for just one day.
When Corey Moriarty, a Florida owner, arrived at the daycare facility, he couldn’t wait to see his puppy – and hear the caregivers’ first impressions. He waited for Bauer to go out with the handler to say “hi,” but this energetic pup soon turned this moment into a heartwarming reunion.
As soon as he saw his dad standing there, Bauer frantically ran toward him and gave him the biggest hug. He couldn’t stop wagging his tail and licking his dad’s face, as if he were saying, “I’m so glad you’re finally here, dad!”
Corey decided to post this adorable moment on his TikTok account called The Moriarty Family, and soon enough, it went viral.
“The way he carries his leash like “I’m ready let’s go home!” He had literally the best time and was the best boy,” the video description reads.
Bauer’s followers couldn’t get enough of his heartwarming reaction!
“I feel like he’s such a dad boy,” one person commented.
“Anyone that says your pets are not your children… show them this video!! That baby is so excited to see you,” another added.
Despite being super-excited to see his dad, to say that Bauer did not enjoy his first day at daycare would be far from the truth. According to his caretakers, he was the center of attention. And, thanks to his lively spirit, Bauer has already made lots of friends!

Aside from his first daycare experience that truly left him dazzled, it’s safe to say that Bauer lives the best (and most adventurous) life possible!
His owners, Emma and Corey, decided to adopt him when they already had three big dogs: two Huskies (Blue and Titan) and one Golden Retriever (Maverick). On top of all that, the Moriarty family also has two cats, Storm and Zeus. And now – they’re proud to welcome Bauer, too!
While being the youngest member of the family, this enthusiastic Goldie doesn’t shy away from showing his true personality everywhere he goes.
He’s one playful, silly goofball who makes everyone laugh with his antics.
Bauer loves to play with his siblings, enjoy endless cuddle sessions with his owners, and just enjoy his everyday outdoor activities.
To say that he’s just a dog would be an understatement. Bauer is family, the life of the party, and the ultimate entertainer. I can’t wait to see his next video updates!
