Haley Odle, a Texas mom, recently posted a video of her Doberman Pinscher spending time with her two-year-old daughter, Ellie, and it made a very sweet point: those assumptions do not always hold up. The clip spread quickly online and melted plenty of hearts along the way.

“The bottom line is we need to get a dog for protection. Like, if someone tried to break into our house, I’d wanna make sure that they were immediately terrified,” the voiceover says.
