For one couple, getting married without their dog was simply out of the question. Not only did he attend, but he signed the official paperwork.

When it came time to plan their wedding in New York, one couple had a very strict requirement for their big day.

They truly could not have imagined tying the knot without their beloved dog, Wally, right by their side.

“Our lives revolve around this dog, and I mean that in every way possible,” his owner explained.

Because of this deep bond, finding a location that would welcome him with open arms was their top priority.

The couple knew that they didn’t just want Wally to stop by for a quick photo op.

It was incredibly important to them to pick a wedding venue that fully allowed dogs on the premises.

They wanted a place where Wally could actually attend the main event and be part of the celebration.

Thankfully, they found the perfect spot that embraced their vision for a dog-friendly ceremony.

An Official Duty

Wally wasn’t just there to look handsome in the background.

The couple decided to give him a highly official role in their marriage proceedings.

A wedding witness is someone who legally vouches that a couple actually got married.

In the state of New York, the marriage certificate officially has two lines for witnesses to sign.

Because of that second line on the paperwork, Wally was able to step up to the plate.

He became the second official witness to his parents’ wedding.

With a little help, he left his mark on the legal document, cementing his place in their family history.

“Good job!” his proud parents cheered as the paperwork was completed.

Surrounded By Love

Wally’s presence wasn’t just a joy for the bride and groom.

He is a massive part of the lives of their friends and family, too.

All the guests were thrilled to see him, showering him with the love and attention he is used to.

Throughout the entire celebration, Wally proved that he was truly the “best boy” at the wedding.

Since it was a day of celebration, the couple wanted to make sure Wally got to indulge, too.

They ordered him a special, custom wedding cake made just for dogs.

The beautiful canine confection was crafted by a dog cake baker in Boston, Massachusetts, called Dog Eat Cake.

Wally absolutely loved his special treat, digging into it with pure joy.

As the day wound down, it was clear that Wally felt like the star of the event.

“It was his day too, so he deserved a little treat,” his owner noted warmly.

Looking back at the stunning photos, the couple joked about his confident attitude.

“He’s like, ‘I don’t know why you guys think this day is about you,'” they laughed, grateful for the unforgettable memories they created together.
