A Good Samaritan was driving down a road in Tulsa, Oklahoma, oblivious to the heartwrenching scene that they were about to stumble upon.
As they moved forward, the resident noticed little puppies appearing on the road all of a sudden. The kind-hearted person was in disbelief. They hit the brakes and rushed to help.
That’s when they realized that twelve puppies badly needed help. They were in horrible condition and clearly scared of everything.
Despite their fear, the furbabies looked at the kind-hearted human with the saddest eyes, begging them to offer them a helping hand.
Puppies Are Off To A Rescue
The resident immediately reached out to Puppy Haven Rescue, told them about the shocking find, and asked them for help.
Upon receiving the call, the rescue team rushed to their aid.
Once they arrived at the spot and looked at the puppies, they realized that they were neglected and confused. The rescuers felt heartbroken for them.
The Good Samaritan who discovered the furballs fell in love with them and took two of the puppies home, promising to make them happy.
The team collected the ten remaining dogs and brought them to the Oklahoma rescue.
The rescuers were convinced that a backyard breeder had abandoned the puppies, given their number and the fact that all of them were male.
“Because these are small-breed dogs with poodle mixed in, they are likely from a breeder,” Breanne Luiskutty, the president of Puppy Haven Rescue told The Dodo.
The rescue found them wonderful foster families who took them in and started taking care of them.
Looking Forward To Their New Lives
Understandably, the puppies were scared the first night they spent in their new home. They needed some time to decompress and realize that they were in good hands.
Their foster families took them to the groomer, where they were given a bath and a new haircut. Once they completed their makeover, the puppies were unrecognizable.
They were relieved because they got rid of their matted fur, and they immediately felt better.
Thanks to the care and love they received, most of the puppies started trusting their foster families. They began showing their personalities and snuggling with their fosters.
After a long time, the puppies felt safe again.
Their rescuers wished the puppies had never experienced the trauma of a neglectful life and abandonment, but they felt relieved because the furbabies would have a new life.
“Your heart breaks for what they’ve endured, but it also comes with a sense of relief that they no longer have to suffer,” Luiskutty added.
Once the puppies make a full recovery, they will start searching for their forever humans who will show them how beautiful life can be.
These puppies deserve to feel cherished and immensely loved.
