But for two sweet dogs named Flower and Bambi, the heartbreak was doubled.
They had been adopted together, only to be dumped back at the shelter later on.

Because of the severe overcrowding, animals at this shelter typically only have about 30 days to make it out.

Both Flower and Bambi were battling severe health issues.

She had lost all the hair around her eyes, and her chest and belly were completely inflamed.
