There is something special about children growing up with dogs. Some research has even shown that it’s good for a child’s early development to have a puppy.
It can teach them a lot of things, and dogs are always worthy companions in life. I grew up with a dog when I was younger and it’s something I would want for my kids as well.
Dogs are pure, fearless and loyal. They will always strive to make our days better, but they require so little in return. That’s why they are so perfect.
When this boy from Washington wrote a letter to his dad about wanting a puppy, his father did something amazing.
A Really Good Argument
It’s no secret that Rowan had wanted a dog for a while, but in order to get one, he had to ask his dad and explain why it would be a good idea.
So, while he was in school, he came up with the entire letter and he then sent it to his dad. I have to admit, he made some pretty good points.
He started off by saying that he was ready for an energetic corgi puppy. A puppy like this would like to play all the time and cuddle at bedtime.
These were some solid points. Rowan then proceeded by explaining another reason it was beneficial to all of them.
He said it would help them all get more exercise by taking the dog for walks or running around with him. Also, another great point.
Third and probably the most important reason? It would help Rowan feel more responsible because he would care for the puppy.
He would feed him, give him baths, clean up after him. Basically, he would do everything for the sweet puppy. Now that he has listed out all the reasons, I think we can all come to a consensus.
The Best Gift Ever
These were all excellent points and Rowan deserved a corgi puppy. Shortly after receiving this letter, the dad decided to surprise his son with an incredible gift.
Then, out of nowhere, Rowan’s dad showed up from a rescue organization in Washington and brought him his new buddy, named Pumpkin.
Rowan was over the moon after meeting his new corgi companion. He even told his dad that he did not expect this to happen so soon because he just got a video game as a present.
He thanked his dad, and that’s when everything changed for the boy. It was the best present he had ever gotten, and he made sure to do everything for Pumpkin.
The two became quick friends. The puppy was so kind and sweet that the two of them got along from the very beginning.
His dad is so glad to see how his son is growing up with this dog, and they will create many beautiful memories together.
