A Good Samaritan From California Spotted A Litter Of Starving Puppies Wandering In The Desert And Decided To Help

They were small, weak, and barely moving when they were first spotted. A group of puppies had somehow ended up in the middle of the desert, miles from anything that could keep them alive.

No one knew how long they had been there, but the signs of hunger and exhaustion were clear.

Each step they took looked uncertain, their bodies worn down by the heat and the distance. They stuck close to one another, as if that was the only comfort left.

When California rescuers finally arrived, the sight of the litter told a story no one expected to see in such an empty stretch of land.

How Could Someone Do This To Them?

It is absolutely horrifying that somebody would just leave small puppies to starve in the desert, and yet it happened anyway.

After a Good Samaritan stumbled upon a litter of puppies wandering in the desert, they knew that it was an emergency, so they contacted the rescuers for help.

Rescuers from the County of Los Angeles, Lancaster Animal Care Center in California came to their aid, and even they were shocked by what they saw.

The puppies had no food and water whatsoever, which is why they were wandering around. The heat was probably excruciating for them, and they desperately needed medical help.

The Good Samaritan who found the nine puppies decided to keep four of them in order to help them find a better home.

As for the other five, they were taken by the rescuers who treated them, gave them food, water and shelter. They were finally out of the woods thanks to the intervention of these kind people.

Shocking Post

After finding the puppies and taking them to the shelter, the rescuers from the County of Los Angeles, Lancaster Animal Care Center decided to upload a video about them on their Facebook page.

One person commented: “We could make docs lives better if we would build more sanctuary style shelters. We all have the money. Every city. It’s priorities.

Well, it’s definitely true that we can all do more, but it’s not an overnight fix. Solutions like this often take very long to implement statewide and it’ll take a lot of work to make it viable.

Another person said: “Pets are not disposable they look to us for security safety, and to be their voice and dogs are the only creatures that love us more than they love themselves. They deserve better by us. I pray each one of these babies gets into a loving home where they are cherished and get all the kisses, cuddles and playtime they deserve.

It’s precisely this that makes it so heartbreaking that they were so cruelly left in the desert by the only person they trusted the most.

Lastly, somebody commented: “Lose more faith in humans everyday…and I barely have anything left as it is…Ty for saving these lil ones.

While these videos may seem depressing, it’s important to also focus on the positive. Someone did help these puppies pretty quickly and because of that, they got a second chance. That’s what’s important.
