Food, shelter, comfort. It’s what any dog wants, and even though these are the mere basics, they are enough to keep any pup happy for a long time.
Dogs are simple creatures. They don’t ask for much, but still, most people hardly give them anything, and that is heartbreaking.
They have been our best friends for tens of thousands of years, and we still haven’t solved the issues surrounding stray or abandoned dogs.
What’s even sadder is that these two sweet terriers were neglected and then dumped near a drain pipe, where they survived on their own until a kind rescuer noticed them and decided to do something about it.
Living In A Drain Pipe

When Audray from Luck’s Rescue in Georgia first spotted these scared pups, she tried her best to calm them and figure out some way to help.
Since they were inside a drain pipe, it was really hard for this rescuer to reach them. Another thing that was complicating the matter was that they were really scared of human touch.
She didn’t want to risk them biting her because it was going to make the rescue impossible. Audray and another rescuer started out by first feeding them.

They were bold enough to approach her and eat out of her hands, but they did not do more than that. She had to come up with a good plan to catch them.
Since they already trusted her a little, she brought out a crate to the two puppies and placed food inside in hopes that they would just go in so she could lock the door.
At first, one of the dogs seemed a bit hesitant, but he was always so hungry that he couldn’t resist the temptation to eat.
That Was Surprisingly Easy

So the dog went inside and Audray locked the door. She did the same with the second pup and the rescue was finally complete.
Even Audray was surprised by how simple it was. She took them back to her home in Georgia, where they could settle down for a while and eat while she was trying to find a foster home for them.
Fortunately, she found one in virtually no time. What’s even better is that this foster has a lot of experience in helping dogs who were neglected and abused.

So it’s safe to say that they are now in good hands with their new foster parent. They are called Mimi and Momo. They were also fixed and vetted, so they are almost ready for adoption.
Until that day arrives, they will enjoy the comforts of an amazing home where they get a chance to truly shine and just learn how to enjoy their lives.
