New Jersey Owner Tried To Help Her Dog Climb Glass Stairs Only To Be Met With Unexpected Reaction

Every dog owner has been some point a witness to something funny our dogs did. It can be the most random thing you can imagine, and our pup’s reactions to it always make us laugh.

I know for a fact that my dog really hated when an apple fell from a tree and it always caused an intense reaction from him.

There are many instances like this where our pups are genuinely baffled by something that is so ordinary to us.

In the story we’re going to talk about today, one owner from New Jersey was trying to get her dog to climb up the glass stairs only to realize that her pup had a very unusual reaction to it.

Oh He’s Not Doing It?

When Sniper was first adopted by his owner, he was just a little puppy. It’s been 6 months since that fateful day, and he has grown up a lot.

However, his demeanor has not changed much in all that time, and this sweet pup is still perplexed by a lot of the very common things he encounters on a daily basis.

His owner would spend a lot of time recording and posting these hilarious moments, but one of them in particular stood out among all the others.

It was when his owner tried to get Sniper to climb on the glass stairs only to realize that he was not willing to do it.

The stairs confused him and he didn’t know what else to do other than to bark. He couldn’t find the entrance to the stairs, as they were made from glass.

Sniper’s owner called him back several times, only to realize that there was no use in doing it, as he was definitely not going to climb the stairs.

When the New Jersey owner posted this short video of Sniper trying to figure out where the stairs are, there were many mixed reactions from other people.

One person commented: “Dogs see in black and white, the glass staircase seems kind of invisible/see-through to him and difficult to tell if it’s a solid structure apart from the white wall it can see past ahead. This is the reason it keeps going towards the wall ahead to check for the stairs. You may be required to tint the glass stairs using dark shade colors…

Well, I actually knew this, but I would still assume that seeing glass stairs are visible for dogs in some way, although I could be wrong.

Another person said: “Y’all need a center rug runner up those stairs. That seems dangerous for dogs and people.

I’m not sure about this, but glass stairs can be a problem in some instances. Even so, I believe that might be a necessary course of action for Sniper.

Lastly, someone said: “If he cant see glass, im guessing he thought you were flying as you went to fetch him.

Maybe that is true, but his owner has actually taught him how to use the stairs, so that illusion is now completely broken for him.

Still, seeing Sniper’s reaction was oddly funny, but it does highlight the importance of looking out for random things that confuse our dogs. We never know what kind of reaction they will have, so we should always try to teach them new things.
