Moe-Moe was a great pup who lived with his family in their Kansas home, convinced that he would be with them forever.
The sweet American Bulldog mix loved his little humans and enjoyed playing with them.
Sadly, one day, his whole world came tumbling down, and Moe-Moe couldn’t believe it. His family moved out without him and left him in a carrier on a curb next to trash.
The pup felt heartbroken and couldn’t understand why they left him behind. He bent his head and looked through the bars of his carrier with a sad expression on his face.
Moe-Moe had nothing left but the hope that someone would show him compassion and offer him a helping hand.
Desperately Waiting For Help
When the sanitation workers arrived to pick up the trash, their hearts sank when they found Moe-Moe next to trash bags and broken furniture.
“Moe-Moe was literally put out with the trash,” Hoke County Animal Shelter wrote on Facebook.
The kind-hearted workers gave him water, called animal control, and waited with the pup until help arrived.
They found out that Moe-Moe’s family had moved out and left him for good.
The animal control officers picked him up and brought him to safety.
Hoke County Animal Shelter, located in Raeford, took the dog under their care and promised him a new beginning.
The staff sympathized with Moe-Moe and could tell right away that he was a wonderful pup.
“He’s such a sweetheart and I can’t imagine what he’s feeling right now,” the shelter added.
They consoled him and gave him love. Moe-Moe felt like he wasn’t alone anymore, and his mood brightened up.
The North Carolina shelter shared his story along with several photos on their Facebook, and their followers were left heartbroken for Moe-Moe.
They announced that the pup would soon start looking for a forever home.
Moe-Moe Starts A New Life
The shelter’s heartwrenching post went viral and helped Moe-Moe find a forever home.
A wonderful woman saw the post about the pup who stole her heart in an instant. She went to the shelter and filled out the adoption paperwork.
Before Moe-Moe left the shelter with his forever human, he said goodbye to his shelter friends, who were so happy for him.
The pup hopped into his new mom’s car. He was beaming with happiness, and he couldn’t wait to start a new life.
Shortly after moving in with his mom, he began enjoying his forever home.
“He’s already enjoying his big beautiful backyard and his new home,” the shelter shared in a Facebook update.
From a dejected pup who was discarded like trash on the curb in a North Carolina neighborhood, Moe-Moe turned into a joyful pup who felt infinitely loved and cared for.
Thank you to all the wonderful people who showed him love and gave him a second shot at happiness that all canines wish for.
