Abandoned Pug Slept On Old Shirt In California Parking Lot For Days, Begging For Food

Pugs are lovely creatures. Not only do they make incredible lifelong companions, but they are also the embodiment of all-day entertainers! Who wouldn’t want them nearby to brighten their day or cheer them up when times are tough, right?

Sadly, not everyone shares this sentiment.

One owner, in particular, was so cruel that they abandoned their Pug in a parking lot in an industrial area of California, far from basic resources, including food and water. Fortunately, the people who worked there were compassionate enough to hear this dog’s pleas!

He Didn’t Let Anyone Near

No dog loves to be betrayed by their best friend. Sadly, this little Pug, named Bobby, by the workers, was, in fact, betrayed! He was left at the mercy of the wilderness in a place far from people’s homes.

The pup was left in an industrial area with no food and water, so the workers in the area who spotted him struggling immediately rushed to help.

“Just a little pug abandoned. No houses around for miles, just businesses. He had been there for a few days, he wouldn’t let the employees get him,” Suzette Hall wrote in a Facebook post.

They left the pup some food, with one of them even leaving his old T-shirt so he could sleep on it.

“One employee left his shirt for him so he could have a bed, and they would feed him when they could,” Hall added.

Eventually, they contacted Suzette Hall, a longtime rescuer from Irvine, California, and the founder of the organization called Logan’s Legacy

Hall immediately arrived at the spot and met with the people who informed her about Bobby. After learning all the info, there was only one thing left – to try and bring Bobby to safety.

The good thing was – Hall was determined to help this poor Pug no matter how long it took.

Safely Transported To A Better Place

Hall knew Bobby was too shy and scared to be approached directly, so she had to come up with another plan. Instead of trying to capture him on a catchpole, Hall set up a humane trap filled with delicious dog food, hoping it would work.

Moments later, she realized Bobby had doubts about going in, so she led by example. She pretended to go in a couple of times just to show him it was safe. Before she knew it, he was in.

“I realized that he was not going into the front of the trap so I did something I’ve never done before I tricked him. I shut the front of the trap and I opened up the back and I crawled in a couple times to show him that it was safe,” Hall wrote.

Bobby was so hungry that he didn’t even notice when Hall closed the door. He kept eating the food she provided, so thankful that someone had finally come to save him.

Bobby wasn’t alone anymore. Hall slowly loaded him into the car and transported him to the pet hospital for further checkups.

The next thing on the list is to find a nice foster home for Bobby where he will feel loved, probably for the first time. Hopefully, this little boy will get what he deserves as soon as possible!

Good luck, Bobby!
