This story follows a stray pup who refused to give up after spotting a kind traveler. He chased her car, desperate for rescue.
A Dog Who Refused To Let Go
While traveling abroad with a friend, a Tennessee woman named Krista encountered a friendly stray dog who began trailing them after receiving a little attention.
They assumed he would stop once they climbed into their van and drove away, but this pup had other plans.
Even as the vehicle rolled down the road, he sprinted after them, weaving through traffic and refusing to slow down.
Krista told The Dodo: We couldn’t leave him and it didn’t look safe, so we pulled over.
Unsure what to do next, Krista and her friend let the pup tag along for the rest of their journey. He became part of their travels, enjoying the company as though he had belonged to them all along.
But when it came time to part ways, they delivered him to the nearest rescue center, where paperwork could be arranged for his relocation to the United States.
A New Name And A Second Chance
Once everything was settled, Krista returned to pick up the dog, now officially named Chase. Their reunion was filled with joy.
She said: He remembered who I was, and we were so happy.
Chase quickly proved to be the perfect travel companion. On their trip to Miami, he rode calmly, taking in the scenery and soaking up every moment with the person who had saved him.
But the real test came next.
Together, they faced a long drive north to Tennessee. To break up the journey, Krista stopped for a short hike, knowing how much Chase loved to explore. That pause for adventure made the road ahead easier for both of them.
Once they arrived in Tennessee, Chase finally got the happy ending he had been chasing all along. He raced around the yard with boundless joy, playing freely in a space he could now call his own.
Krista promised him that his life would never again be defined by loneliness. She looked forward to many more adventures together, taking him to places he had never dreamed of.
She said: It makes me feel really good that I can just hug him and tell him that he’s not gonna be alone again.
