Just imagining a tiny, scared puppy wandering alone through Osceola National Forest is enough to break your heart.
The little pup, who would later be named Wrangler, moved nervously between the trees with no real idea where to go or how to find food. He sniffed at the ground with desperate hope, searching for even the tiniest bit of something to eat.
Even though he was only a few months old, Wrangler showed a surprising amount of bravery. Fear may have followed him through the wilderness, but he kept going anyway, pushing forward with quiet determination like he had no other choice.
What he did not know was that his life was standing on the edge of a beautiful change.
Wrangler’s Hero
A kind man named Scott, originally from New York, happened to be driving in the forest when he encountered Wrangler. He was far away from the road. His body was severely emaciated and exhausted.
Scott rushed to his aid. He picked him up and took him to his truck. The pup looked at him with his adorable eyes filled with gratitude.
At the time, Scott was pretty worried for the pup and wasn’t sure if he would survive because he was so exhausted and dehydrated. It was clear that he had been on his own for a while.
However, one thing was for sure. Scott fell in love with him the moment he saw him. He was determined to do everything in his power to nurse him back to health and give him a forever home.
Scott fed Wrangler and brought him home, where he started his journey to recovery. The pup was taken to the vet in order to get a medical checkup and treatment.
He was estimated to be nine to ten months old.
The Life Wrangler Always Hoped For
Wrangler’s new dad shared a video of the dog’s rescue on TikTok and delighted the viewers who were thankful to him for saving his life.
Scott was moved by the love and support he and Wrangler received, and the experience motivated him to start an initiative, Second Chance Supply Co., with part of the profits going toward rescuing dogs like Wrangler.
Thanks to the wonderful care and endless love Wrangler received, he started getting better day by day.
The pup adores all his family, and his dad is his favorite person. He always wishes to be around Scott and he follows him around.
He couldn’t be happier. His dream came true. From a lost and rejected puppy roaming the woods in Florida, he became a happy pup, cherished by his family.
