Sadly, stray dogs fighting to survive on the streets are not an uncommon sight. Without food, shelter, or love, many of these innocent animals end up in heartbreaking condition.
One such story unfolded in Southern California, where three senior dogs were cruelly abandoned by their family.
All they had left was a worn blanket and an empty box to shield them from the storm.
Huddled Together For Warmth

When neighbors first spotted the dogs, they were curled up tightly under the blanket, shivering from the cold. Concerned residents tried to approach and help, but the trio was terrified and refused to let anyone near them.
Despite their fear, the dogs remained in the same place for days. Moved by their loyalty and helplessness, the community left food and water nearby, hoping the pups would at least eat.

The Rescuer Steps In
Finally, one neighbor reached out to Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy in Irvine, California. Suzette wasted no time—she immediately drove to the scene.
“There they were, shivering, huddled together on the blanket and box they were left with. Neighbors left food for them. They stayed in the exact spot for days,” Suzette shared on Instagram.
“They were scared of human touch.”
The dogs had clearly been through a lot. They would dart away whenever someone came close, only to return shortly after. What stood out most was how inseparable they were—they simply couldn’t bear to part from one another.

Suzette first tried humane traps filled with tasty food. One dog went in quickly, but the reaction of the other two stunned her.
Instead of following the scent of food, they circled the trap anxiously, unwilling to leave their sibling’s side. Their bond was undeniable—they weren’t about to abandon each other.
Realizing food alone wouldn’t lure them in, Suzette gently placed the trapped pup inside her van and left the door open. Just as she hoped, the two remaining dogs rushed in to be with their sibling, and Suzette was able to safely shut the door.
“They were hesitant, but really wanted to be with their friend. I knew they would jump into my van, so after some time, they built up the courage and they jumped in. I quickly shut my door. I had them safe.”
Healing And Hoping

Suzette brought the trio to Camino Pet Hospital for checkups. Vets discovered that all three had significant dental issues, but thankfully, they were otherwise in good health for seniors.
The sweet dogs were given names—Jacob, Naomi, and Adam.
“Breaks my heart that they were dumped when they needed their family most. They are very sweet and give kisses to everyone,” Suzette said.
Now, the siblings are safe, cared for, and still together. While they wait for their forever family, they’re showing their gratitude with endless kisses and affection, proving they’ll make wonderful companions.
We can only hope the perfect home is just around the corner for this loyal little family.
