The moment Brenda learned about a scared dog lying curled up on an abandoned mattress deep in the Oregon woods, she knew she had to go.

“He definitely looked like he was in a lot of pain. His skin was obviously painful. He was completely bald,” said Brenda.

The team arranged a foster home for him the very next day.
His foster mom, Sarah, and her son, Seth, welcomed Hondo with open arms.

Seth quickly formed a bond with him, and under their care, Hondo began to thrive.
