Jacqui and her husband never expected that their honeymoon would involve saving a life.
But that is exactly what fate had in store.
As they drove toward their hotel, Jacqui’s husband noticed a small, fluffy shape lying at the side of the road.
Without hesitation, he pulled over, jumped from the car, and sprinted toward the strange creature that at first looked like an oversized caterpillar.
Jacqui waited by the car, watching closely as her husband bent down, scooped up the animal, and came running back toward her with urgency.
A Tiny Kitten In Desperate Need
When he reached her, Jacqui saw what the mysterious fluff really was: a fragile white kitten who was hurt and needed immediate help.
The couple feared she might not survive, so they rushed her to the nearest veterinary clinic.
The kitten, soon named Princess Charmella, or Charmy for short, was found to have an injured mouth and an upper respiratory infection. Thankfully, aside from those issues, she was in relatively good health.
The vet prescribed antibiotics, reassuring them that Charmy was expected to make a full recovery.
Relieved, Jacqui and her husband brought the kitten back to their hotel. They gave her a gentle bath, removing ticks and fleas from her fur, and started caring for her like she was already part of their family.
The tiny kitten was showered with affection. Jacqui and her husband bottle-fed her around the clock, cuddled her, and made sure she felt safe.
Charmy even joined them everywhere they went: lounging by the pool, sharing quiet moments in their hotel room, and even accompanying them on romantic dinners.
Finding The Home She Deserved
From the moment they rescued her, Jacqui and her husband knew they wanted Charmy to stay with them forever. They felt her sudden appearance on their honeymoon was no accident.
