In the sea of brilliant stories involving animal heroes as main protagonists, one topic has never ceased to fascinate me – service dogs!
I mean, are there better helpers than our four-legged buddies who dedicate their lives to assisting people? I don’t think so!
Tracker, a canine from Alabama, is a diabetic alert dog who has recently demonstrated his true brilliance. As a service for his little girl, Paislee, Tracker is used to saving the day for his family. This time, however, he truly managed to leave them speechless with his extraordinary abilities!
Tracker On A Mission
Tracker and Paislee go a long way back. This Alabama pup is a trained service dog, helping his family track their little girl’s blood sugar levels – and he does it remarkably!
Every time Paislee’s sugar levels are low, Tracker is there to notify the family. What the family didn’t know was that Tracker could alert them even when Paislee was not nearby!
One day, while she was in the neighborhood playing in her friend’s house, Tracker went into his “alert mode.”
He immediately took to Shelby, her mom, and raised his paw as he usually does, signaling that Paislee needed assistance.
“I have heard stories of dogs being able to smell miles away… I have not seen it with my own eyes until today,” Shelby wrote on her social media.
Shocked by his abilities, Shelby still found it hard to believe what was happening, but she decided to trust Tracker. The two went straight out, and within minutes, this good boi managed to find Paislee!
He followed her scent from her footsteps, and even though there was snow outside, that didn’t stop him from locating his little girl.
In the meantime, Shelby found out that Paislee had already treated her blood sugar, proving Tracker right!
“Not only did he alert but he took me right to her! We are so thankful to have him as a part of our family and to keep her safe. It’s still mind blowing,” added Shelby.
Tracker’s brilliance earned him the status of a hero in his family! Upon arrival back home, he was treated with a new toy – well-deservedly so!
With Tracker at their disposal, Paislee’s parents couldn’t be more relieved… or more proud!
Perfect Buddies
Tracker is not only Paislee’s service dog… he’s literally her nanny, a caregiver, and her best friend in the world! From the moment they met, the two were inseparable.
In an era when many people use insulin pumps or glucose monitors to regulate blood sugar, Paislee’s family states that Tracker is so much more reliable!
He can precisely detect when blood sugar drops, alerting his family without delay. This way, his owners do not waste precious time and have the chance to respond promptly.
