California Dog Rehomed After A Feud With A Chihuahua Reveals The Most Hilarious Hidden Personality

In California, when a tiny Italian Greyhound mix needed a new home, her new mom had no idea she was adopting a bouncing, zooming comedian who would change her life.

A Heartbreaking Decision

In California, when Victoria first met Nori, the tiny pup was a little unsure of her surroundings. With her tail tucked safely between her legs, the eight-and-a-half-pound dog quietly sniffed around her new environment.

But it wouldn’t take long for Nori to show her true colors. Today, the little Italian Greyhound mix is a whirlwind of joy, described by her mom as having “springs for legs.”

Her journey to becoming the household comedian, however, started with a tough goodbye. Nori originally belonged to another family, who had brought her home hoping she would be a companion for their Chihuahua.

Since the woman and her husband were gone for most of the day, they thought the two dogs would keep each other company. Unfortunately, the resident Chihuahua absolutely hated the new addition.

Realizing the situation wasn’t fair to either pup, the owner made the difficult choice to rehome Nori. “We picked her up and the lady was a mess,” Victoria recalled. “You could tell she didn’t want to really give her up, but she knew it was the best option for her.”

A Timid Arrival

Leaving the only family she knew was confusing for the little dog. When she first arrived at Victoria’s home, Nori was hesitant and shy.

She spent her first moments carefully sniffing the floors, keeping her distance as she assessed her new world. Victoria gave her the time and space she needed to decompress.

It was a slow, gentle buildup of trust. But as Nori realized she was safe and loved, her true personality began to peek through.

The Inner Maniac Emerges

Once she felt at home, Nori completely transformed. The shy, timid dog vanished, replaced by an absolute whirlwind of happy energy.

“She has springs for legs, like a trampoline in a dog form,” Victoria joked. Nori wakes up “fully unleashed,” ready to take on the day at maximum speed.

Italian Greyhounds are known for being fast, but Nori takes it to another level. Victoria says she practically floats across the room, moving with calculated precision so she never bumps into walls.

Kangaroo or Baby Deer?

Nori’s unique appearance and bouncy gait draw a lot of attention when she goes out for walks. Her long legs and quirky movements leave people scratching their heads.

“There’s literally been people when I’m just walking her on the street, they’re like, ‘What is that?'” Victoria shared. Strangers frequently ask if Nori is a baby kangaroo.

Others guess she might be a baby deer. Whatever she looks like, she is a certified bullet when she gets to run off-leash at the local park.

The Unlikely Roommates

Nori doesn’t live alone with Victoria; she also shares the house with Victoria’s roommate’s dog, Lee. At 38 pounds, Lee is significantly larger than the tiny eight-pound Nori.

Despite the size difference, the two dogs are completely obsessed with each other. Nori uses her speed and agility to her advantage during playtime.

She often jumps onto elevated surfaces to tease Lee, knowing he can’t catch her. Sometimes, Lee just stands there speechless as she spins circles around him, patiently waiting for her to finish her zoomies.

Having a high-energy dog in the house makes working from home an interesting challenge. Nori provides 24/7 entertainment, even when Victoria is trying to be productive.

While Victoria is on work calls, Nori can usually be found zooming around the room or aggressively squeaking her toys. It can be a lot to handle during a busy workday.

“I get mad for one second and then I’m like, I can’t even, like you’re just the funniest thing I’ve ever seen,” Victoria admitted.

Quirks and Aggressive Hydration

Nori’s hilarious personality extends to even the most mundane activities, like drinking water. From the very first day, Victoria noticed something strange about her habits.

When Nori drinks, she does it with shocking intensity. Victoria couldn’t believe her eyes when she compared Nori’s wild drinking style to Lee’s calm approach.

“I’m like, ‘What? She can’t be serious, right?'” Victoria laughed. Three months later, Nori’s aggressive hydration routine has only gotten funnier.

The Ultimate Mood Booster

Despite her wild antics, Nori has a softer side. She is a massive snuggler who just wants to be as close to her humans as physically possible.

Every morning, she crawls out from under the covers, instantly making Victoria smile and laugh. She has completely changed the energy in the home.

“I haven’t had more than 20 minutes of a bad day since I’ve gotten her,” Victoria shared. “I never thought I’d get such a weird, quirky dog… If I could clone her a million times, I would.”
