Really? Another bath? Already?
I am basically squeaking like a freshly washed rubber duck over here.
Must… locate… dirt… right away.
Must… turn… this soft white fluff… into a glorious mess…
Nugget had absolutely no problem ruining his fluffy snow-white coat.
The second he spotted the lawn outside, he launched himself toward it like the grass had personally invited him over.
In Nugget’s mind, that was the only reasonable way to let mom know exactly how he felt about all those never-ending scrubbings.
A Dog Who Could Not Bear To Look At The World

News of Patience’s emotional shutdown soon reached SNARR Northeast, a rescue group based in New York. Photos showing her sitting motionless with her back to the room made it impossible for them to ignore her situation. They urgently stepped in, realizing she needed immediate support.
“In a crowded, chaotic city shelter in New Jersey, Patience sat alone, facing the wall, frozen with fear,” SNARR Northeast wrote on Instagram.
As they uncovered more of her story, her behavior made even more sense.
She was not simply quiet, she was hurting deeply. She could not lift her head or meet a single pair of eyes. Instead, she stayed still as though nothing good could be expected.
“She’s shut down, mentally defeated, and lost. Patience doesn’t look at anyone because she doesn’t believe anyone sees her,” the rescue added.

After once knowing life inside a home, Patience was later found alone and hurt on New Jersey streets. No one knew how long she had been wandering or what she experienced, but rescuers believed she had been struck by a vehicle.
The impact caused damage to her spine and left her with limited sight. She could now only look straight ahead, with no vision around the edges of her field.
Despite these challenges, the team at SNARR Northeast refused to walk away from her.
They worked tirelessly to find a foster home that could offer patience, comfort, and quiet healing. Eventually, the right family opened their door to her, prepared to give her a peaceful environment.
A Gentle Recovery Begins In A Safe Home

At first, no one imagined that such a wounded dog would bloom so quickly. With steady care, soft reassurance, and a foster family willing to move at her pace, Patience slowly began showing who she truly was.
The more she realized she was safe, the more her personality came forward. Beneath the fear lived a playful and affectionate pitbull who adored attention, belly rubs, and the people who treated her kindly.

She is expected to begin neurological care soon, which may help her continue to improve.
