To Nugget, being freshly bathed was clearly a personal insult.
There he was, squeaky clean and glowing white, probably feeling like some kind of ridiculous rubber duck instead of a proper dog. As far as he was concerned, there was only one reasonable next step.
Find dirt, immediately.
The mission became obvious the second he spotted the lawn. He took off across it like he had just received a secret signal, fully committed to undoing every last bit of that spotless fur.
Nugget had a real gift for wrecking his clean coat, and he treated it like an art form. To him, this was not random behavior. It was a full protest, a muddy little act of rebellion against all those endless baths from mom.
Introducing Nugget, The Lawn-Stained Rascal
Nugget lives in Richmond, Virginia, on a cute little micro farm with his parents, twin sisters, his Labrador sister Ellie, and a crew of hens. Farm life suits him perfectly. With all that space, he can zoom, run wild, and chase adventure whenever he wants.
But country life is far from clean. If you happen to be a white dog like Nugget, every step outside is basically a gamble. There could be mud, chicken poop, or freshly cut grass waiting to decorate your fur.
And Nugget? He loves every mess he can find.
The one thing he cannot stand is bath time.
Sadly for Nugget, his mom Jennah is a total clean freak. She constantly scoops him up for a quick wash, shutting down every attempt at rolling around in filth.
Still, Nugget celebrates even the tiniest little win, like dipping his cute nose into a muddy puddle.
Of course, once mom grabs him, the grumpy face comes out instantly.
Nugget’s Most Legendary Transformation
One day, wanting revenge for all those dreaded sink baths, Nugget came up with his greatest idea yet.
Nobody thought this tiny furball could pull off something so ridiculous. Nobody expected him to get THAT messy.
Right before everyone’s eyes, Nugget turned into something brand new.
He wasn’t just dirty. He turned bright green.
A tiny Hulk.
Or maybe a furry little Grinch.
Possibly even Oscar the Grouch straight out of his trash can.
Nugget rolled across piles of freshly cut grass until his pure white coat turned totally neon green.
His mom was not thrilled. Grass stains are tough enough on clothes, let alone a fluffy dog.
Getting him clean again was serious work. In pure desperation, dish soap became the emergency solution. It finally washed out the stains, although Jennah normally uses proper dog shampoo. That day, there was no time for rules.
And Nugget’s little face said everything: I regret nothing.
Life Of A True Farm Dog
Even though the stains are gone, Nugget’s legendary green moment will never be forgotten. With farm life offering endless dirt, puddles, and grass, there are plenty more chances for mischief.
So the next time dad cuts the lawn, Nugget will probably roll into it all over again, proudly becoming his goofy green self.
For now, he’s enjoying country life, racing through mud, doing zoomies, and constantly planning how to avoid bath time again.
