Texas Woman Is Stunned After Opening Google Earth Only To Relive A Heartwarming Memory From 2007

Everyone has a photo they wish they could see again. One that captures a feeling, a person, a time. Even if those moments seem small, they matter more than we often admit.

In Texas, a woman named Kimberly Burleson opened Google Earth. She was using the time capsule feature for fun. She was expecting streets and buildings, maybe old aerial views. She was not expecting emotion.

What appeared on her screen was her own past. Her family is playing in the daylight. A frame she had lived but never realized was preserved.

She shared it on Instagram. What she saw made her heart skip. What she remembered came back in a rush. This is what she found.

A Throwback In Time

When Kimberly Burleson decided to go through Google Earth, she was curious to see what her house looked like back in 2007.

She had no idea what she was going to see, as it’s hard to exactly tell what moment in 2007 did Google Earth captured, but what she saw shocked her to the core.

In an Instagram reel she shared, she said: “Google had captured not just my house, but a moment in time. My heart felt like it skipped a beat seeing this scene.

It was a photo of her dog where the family was playing fetch with him. While this was a beautiful memory to cherish, it reminded Kimberly of what came after.

Her father, who lived nearby at the time, passed away shortly after and she almost lost her son because of a brain virus.

Kimberly noted that her pup was an angel in a dog form. She was very cheerful and great at recognizing who needed her help. She was always there for her family and everyone gave her the love she deserved.

What Did Instagram Comments Say

After the short Instagram reel attracted attention, many people came to the comments to share their thoughts. Kimberly was overwhelmed by the positive response to the video.

One person commented: “The Google image of my house has 2 of my dogs that have been d*ad 7 years and 15 years, I love that they live on forever looking at the Google car going by.

Ah, cars, the eternal obsession of a lot of dogs. It’s good to know that they get to live on in someone’s memory like this.

Another person said: “I get it – they are a part of our lives and it they meant a lot to us. Cool you found this…

It is a pure accident that Google Earth actually captured this moment in particular, as it means a lot to the family and it’s good that they can hold on to it for at least a while.

Lastly, somebody commented: “Don’t you wish pictures could take us back there for a day?

It’s such a simple question, and I believe that the answer for most, if not all people, would be yes. We all wish to relive moments that changed our lives and this is an amazing moment to come back to.

While it’s bittersweet for Kimberly because of everything that happened at the time, it’s still a memory of her dog that she can hold on to and I think it’s beautiful.
