Foster Dog From New Jersey Was Too Terrified To Walk, And Then It All Changed When She Met A Kind Soul

Foster Dog From New Jersey Was Too Terrified To Walk, And Then It All Changed When She Met A Kind Soul

There are a lot of owners who adopt dogs only for one reason: to use them. They don’t really care about them at all.

They either serve as guard dogs, or they are used for breeding. A lot of the time, these dogs are seriously mistreated or neglected by their owners.

They don’t do anything to deserve such treatment, and they are lucky if someone picks up on their misfortune and calls the rescuers.

I guess you could say that the pup we will talk about today got lucky when a concerned neighbor decided to call rescuers from New Jersey to help her.

Faith Is Safe At The Shelter

When Faith first gave birth to her litter of puppies, her owners lost interest in her and just decided to send her to live in the backyard.

She was very lonely, but then everything changed for her when a kind neighbor realized what was going on and just called the rescuers to help.

Fortunately for Faith, Happy Paws Rescue was able to take in this sweet pup and give her a new chance. It was pretty clear that her owners had no interest in her.

Then, out of the blue, a woman from New Jersey named Kaitlyn Marcinkowski, came for Faith. She told The Dodo: “When [Happy Paws Rescue] asked if I could help, my answer was simple. Can I get her tonight?

The rescuers noticed immediately how gentle Kaitlyn was with Faith. She actually carried the dog into her new foster home because the pup was too terrified to walk on her own.

She thought that carrying her would help her get rid of her fear of walking, so Kaitlyn never rushed anything with Faith.

At first, the pup would barely leave her crate. Kaitlyn said: “She trembled around people, and she wouldn’t even use the bathroom for two whole days. It broke my heart to see such a sweet girl so scared of the world.

Faith’s Complete Turnaround

Kaitlyn would constantly shower her with compliments and praise. This slowly helped her overcome her fears.

She continues by saying: “Our plan to earn her trust was simple – patience and positive reinforcement. We gave her space, let her set the pace and watched her cues.

A few days later, Faith got bolder and decided to jump on the couch to snuggle with her foster mom. This was immense progress.

Shortly after, she was starting to play in the yard, and that just showed how she overcame her fears in a big way.

She loves running outside only to lie down and roll in the grass and demand belly rubs from her foster mom. It’s her favorite activity.

In Kaitlyn’s care, Faith had made a complete transformation from a scared and lonely dog to a loved one who is confident and happy.

Her foster parents are hoping that she finds a family who will treat her the way she deserves. She is very good with everyone, so adapting to a new environment won’t be a problem for her. I hope she gets that chance soon.
