Evie, a hilarious Jack Russell Greyhound mix, is loving, but she knows her boundaries — and she recently left the entire internet laughing.
Amid Illinois flooding that also affected her home, Evie was caught on a pet cam simply minding her own business, as if saying “you can fight this fight without me.”
This Was Too Much For Her To Handle
Daisy Silva, Evie’s mom, randomly discovered Evie’s hilarious reaction during a pet cam check. While checking her Illinois home for flooding, Daisy discovered something hilarious.
Her dog, Evie, realized that something unusual was happening. When she entered the room flooded with water, instead of panicking, Evie pulled off the smoothest reaction ever!
She carefully sniffed the water, realized that it wasn’t something she could handle, and then, simply, “left the scene.”
During the “evacuation,” Evie was very careful not to touch the water with her paws. She remained “dry and safe” while climbing the stairs, leaving everyone else to deal with this issue.
“Our dog said y’all can deal with this one,” wrote Daisy in the video.
The camera footage, soon posted by Daisy on TikTok, went viral in no time. Before long, Daisy became an internet sensation, and her reaction was a total hit, with people leaving hilarious reactions in the comment section.
One commenter wrote: “The way he’s walking! I spat my food!!!”
“Dog said ‘I don’t get paid enough treats to deal with this,’” another person joked.
“Not him walking like he’s grossed out by the water,” added a third user.
Long-Time Family Member And The Sweetest Girl
Evie was adopted by Daisy at only five weeks of age after being abandoned with her siblings. And yes, she is as far from being indifferent and cold as possible! While her “flooding incident reaction” is hilarious, the truth is Evie is a loyal and devoted dog to her family.
She has a beautiful way with Daisy’s daughter and all other children in the family. She’s basically a nanny with the purest heart!
“She’s a Jack Russell Greyhound mix and has the most gentle touch for kids. She has a ton of cousins to play with, and loves to play fetch with her sister,” wrote Daisy in another TikTok.
Her biggest fear is definitely not water, but being separated from her owners. Evie doesn’t like being alone and has separation anxiety when mom and dad are at work.
“Because of her trauma, she struggles with separation anxiety. Sometimes she doesn’t eat while mom and dad are at work but she loves food,” added Daisy.
Luckily, the time she spends alone doesn’t last long. She has the entire family by her side, and is, without a doubt, the most spoiled and beloved dog!
“She’s healthy, strong, spoiled, beautiful, and loved,” the Illinois owner concluded.
