Colorado Sisters Rescue Stray Dog On Saipan Road And Uncover A Shocking Jungle Surprise

When Aria and Grace Keilbach, sisters from Colorado, relocated to Saipan years ago, they did not expect how much their lives would change. They came with the goal of preventing cruelty toward boonie dogs, but over time, they helped hundreds of stray dogs find fresh starts in loving homes.

One of those was Mango, a stray nursing mother they found alone on a road, with no puppies in sight. As they tried to capture her, Mango seemed to be trying to communicate something important. The next day, they discovered the truth — and it left them stunned.

From the beginning, Mango showed a gentle nature. Although malnourished and with a difficult past, she willingly entered a humane trap that Aria, the founder of Boonie Babies rescue in Saipan, and her team had placed near the jungle road.

Recognizing Mango was nursing, the rescuers searched the area thoroughly for her puppies. Finding nothing, they took Mango back to their shelter.

Yet Mango had more to say.

At the shelter, Mango kept nudging Aria, almost as if urging her to understand something. Aria sensed this and returned to the rescue site, where they heard loud yelping coming from the jungle.

Those were Mango’s puppies, hidden safely deep in the woods where their mother had kept them protected from harm.

“This super sweet mama found dumped on Lau Lau road had an amazing rescue journey in which she led us to her puppies hidden in the jungle,” Boonie Babies wrote on Instagram.

Eventually, the team found two puppies nearly buried beneath the ground.

“We were in it, trudging through, ripping branches apart. She was right in the section that we were and just burrowed literally almost underground,” Aria told The Dodo.

Mango was overjoyed. Reunited with her pups, all three were now safe.

A Loving Mother And Devoted Companion

What started as a simple rescue grew into something even more special. At the shelter, Mango blossomed into a devoted mother, not just to her own puppies but also to others in need.

Tragically, one of Mango’s puppies passed away, leaving her with only one pup, later named Tequila. That’s when Mango showed her remarkable kindness by adopting three orphaned puppies into her care.

“Along with having an amazing temperament with people, kids, and other dogs, she even adopted 3 orphaned puppies into her litter,” the rescue added.

She nurtured an entire litter and came fully into her own, enjoying a life filled with love, care, and happiness. Mango soon became a top adoption candidate, marking the start of a brighter chapter.

“Mango is available for adoption anytime, she’s been an amazing mama but it’s time for her to get her own happy ending and attention,” Boonie Babies concluded.

Mango received applications from several wonderful families eager to offer her a forever home. In the end, she and Tequila found the perfect family: two sisters who now share a life full of playdates, walks, and adventures.

After all she has endured, Mango’s future finally looks full of hope and joy.
