Ever since Titan was admitted to the Perfect Pet Adoption Center in Florida, he hoped that he was one step closer to realizing his dream of having a family.
He longed to find someone who would love him for who he was and give him the home he always wished for.
When Adriana Matta, a regular foster at the same shelter, agreed to offer him a temporary home, Titan was excited.
The moment Matta brought him home, she felt an undeniable bond with him.
The Perfect Foster Home
Titan settled perfectly into his foster family. He was delighted with Matta’s sons. They became his best friends and loved spending time with him.
Matta loved Titan and wished she could keep him, but since her family already had three dogs, she thought that if she adopted Titan, she couldn’t continue fostering dogs.
After spending two weeks at his foster home, the pup got adopted.
His foster family said goodbye to him with a heavy heart. They knew they would miss him, but at the same time, they were happy because he found a forever home.
However, a month later, things took an unexpected turn. Titan’s adoptive family returned him, saying that he had behavioral issues.
Matta was in disbelief because Titan had always been well-behaved and never had any issues.
What shocked her even more was the fact that the adopter had Titan sedated by a vet. Matta was sorry that Titan had to go through all that.
Matta couldn’t let Titan return to the shelter, so she brought him back to her home. Her family was happy to have the dog back with them. He was just as gentle and easygoing as he had always been.
Titan was overjoyed to be reunited with his foster family. He played with his tiny humans, whom he missed the most.
It Was Always Meant To Be
After spending a month with Matta and her family, a new potential adopter came forward and wanted to meet Titan.
At that moment, Matta realized that she couldn’t imagine letting the dog go. He blended into the family well, and they adored him.
Yet, at the same time, she knew that they couldn’t take care of another dog.
And then, fate had other plans. Sadly, the family’s senior dog crossed the rainbow bridge, and the family saw it as a sign that they had to adopt Titan.
They canceled the dog’s meet and greet and adopted the pup themselves.
The family is in awe of the heartwarming bond that Titan formed with the kids. The trio became inseparable. The doggo sleeps by their side and follows them wherever they go.
Although Matta never thought that she and her family would become a foster fail, she knows that Titan was destined to become a permanent family member.
On June 1st of 2025, Matta shared an adorable video of Titan and her sons on TikTok, which melted the hearts of everyone who watched it.
Titan curled up between his tiny humans on the sofa, tucked in a blanket, and soaked up their cuddles.
The doggo sensed that he was finally where he was meant to be all along – with his forever family who adores him, and he felt like the happiest pup in the world.
