California Woman Was Startled By Noise Only To Discover Something Shocking Under An Old Trailer

We often talk about rescuers and the amazing job they do at taking care of other animals and giving them a chance at better lives.

And, that is for a good reason because these are truly amazing people who deserve a lot of the credit.

However, I also think it’s important to take some of that and give it to the Good Samaritans who alert rescuers to potential rescue cases.

Many times, people just willfully ignore a case of an abandoned or abused dog, but the people who don’t are truly kind, and I think we should never ignore that.

That’s essentially what happened in this story when a stranger walked up to a woman named Priscilla Wolcott and warned her about furry babies in need.

A Kind Stranger

After the stranger alerted Wolcott about the dogs who were living on an abandoned property, she reacted immediately.

Because she was an animal control officer at Fresno Humane Animal Services in California, she had a lot of experience with rescuing stray dogs.

When she first came onto the property, she was sure that there was an entire dog family there, but to her surprise, there were two mama dogs with two different litters.

All of them were hiding underneath an old trailer, and they were desperate for help. Wolcott told The Dodo: “What was so cute and sweet was that they were switching off nursing each other’s babies.

That was an amazing example of kindness in dogs, and it’s probably the main reason why they were able to hold out on their own for so long.

Because they did such a great job of caring for each other, the puppies were all well-fed and healthy. They were lively and strong, which was good news.

The Progress Is Visible

Once she accounted for all of them, she carefully transported them back to the shelter in California, where they could receive food and medical attention.

The first mama dog was named Gorda, and her puppies were: Iris, Lewis, Waylon, and Edward.

As for the other mama, she was Ziggy, and her babies were called: Finn, Bennie, Alfred, Pandora, Breezy, Ringo, Nigel, and Turner.

Wolcott said: “The moms, they were scared. But once we put them into a kennel and brought their babies to them, they opened up a lot more.

In the care of these amazing rescuers, things were slowly changing, and the pups started exploring their new environment. They were spending every minute just playing around.

Everything was interesting to them and they were having the time of their lives. While they are still a bit fearful, the progress is definitely there, and the rescuers are hoping that their situation will change soon.

Even though it’s still a bit too soon to look for forever families for all these dogs, the rescuers are more than willing to care for them until that happens. They are all just so adorable.

The time for their vaccinations is almost here, and then they will be eligible for adoption. They all deserve an amazing home, and I am more than certain that they will find it soon.
