We all know that dogs with big fur need to go to the groomer every once in a while for a nice trim. It’s not something that is very enjoyable for a lot of dogs, but it’s necessary.
A lot of them often feel more relaxed and calm after all the fur is gone, and that certainly says something about the need to do this whenever possible.
I can imagine that it’s not always easy for a lot of groomers to do their job. It gets difficult, especially when the fur is all messy and dirty.
However, what happened to the dog in this story after he went to the groomer completely shocked her owner.
The Owner Couldn’t Believe Her Eyes
It was an ordinary day for Preslea Wilson, who decided to take her dog to the groomer in Manhattan, New York.
When she went there, she noticed that the groomer who worked the shift was someone who was new at the job, so she didn’t have a lot of experience.
She started doing the job, only to realize that she didn’t have a lot of time left, so she had to reschedule the grooming for the next morning.
Considering she had already started trimming his fur, the result was funny. Only the fur around his head and neck was trimmed. The rest was not.
She took the dog back home and quickly recorded a video of her dog without fur on his head, so she would always have this funny moment in her memory.
As for the dog and the grooming, she went back the next day, and basically everything went smoothly. The sweet pup now looks as adorable as ever.
The Video Exploded In Popularity
It looked just so funny, and the New York owner couldn’t resist the urge to post this on her TikTok account, so she did. The clip got millions upon millions of views. Preslea was shocked by how viral it went.
One person commented: “As someone who is a grooming apprentice, some people’s dogs aren’t safe to work on. It happens, we do our best but we also won’t risk our safety or the dogs, idk the case for this dog but yk.”
Yeah, things like this can happen, which is why it’s important to be considerate and understanding of the people who do this kind of job.
Another person said: “It looks like he’s wearing a space suit and he took off his helmet off.”
Yeah, basically. Now, I can’t unsee this. Someone also said that he looks like a mascot who took his ‘head’.
Lastly, somebody commented: “I work at a dog kennel with grooming and honestly it’s probably because he wouldn’t sit still and was probably thrashing lol. Sometimes we need 3 people to hold a single dog just to keep it still.”
Well, that was actually not the case for this dog, but it’s definitely something that happens, and it can make a groomer’s job difficult to do.
Nevertheless, this video gave me a good laugh, and I am sure that it did for a lot of other people, considering how popular it became. It’s always good when something so simple brightens your day.
