Grumpy, Hamster-Sized Senior Chihuahua Without Teeth From Oklahoma Shelter Wins Over Everyone

Grumpy, Hamster-Sized Senior Chihuahua Without Teeth From Oklahoma Shelter Wins Over Everyone

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it’s still not enough for people to give you the credit you deserve. And, sometimes, you don’t even have to try – and you’re already there.

I’d dare to say – Tink definitely belongs to the second group!

This teeny-tiny Chihuahua grandma stole everyone’s hearts the second she arrived at the shelter, and she didn’t even bother to be likable. She is who she is, with her own quirks, a spunky personality, and a strong sense of her own boundaries. And yet, she’s irresistible!

She’s So Tiny

When Tink first arrived at Skiatook Paws and Claws Animal Rescue, Oklahoma, people were shocked by her miniature size. She was no bigger than a hamster and had no teeth whatsoever.

On top of that, Tink had heart problems.

“This is Tink. She is 9 years old. She has no teeth. She has a heart murmur. And she is an absolute menace,” the Oklahoma rescue wrote on Instagram.

Still, this tiny girl, who was believed to be nine years old, had a very big personality.

“Tink has some spicy spunkiness and we love to see it,” her rescuers added.

She had no trouble expressing herself and making a statement about who she was. And, she was anything but a laid-back, calm senior dog ready to cuddle on a lazy Sunday afternoon. That’s right! Tink wasn’t a lap dog and she’s not a cuddler. No, sir.

This senior Chi is rather a spunky pup who prefers to be left alone. Even now, in her foster home, all she wants is boundaries.

Instead of constantly being around her caregivers, Tink is more about coexisting with hoomans and doing whatever she wants.

She prefers a calm environment and a lot of space for herself – just like a grumpy old lady. And, guess what? Instead of being overlooked, she’s actually appreciated for who she is!

Tink Knows She’s Grumpy, And People Still Adore Her

The moment her caregivers posted Tink’s photos on their social media, describing her personality honestly and without even the slightest sugarcoating, applications started pouring in: more than two hundred of them, to be exact!

People just can’t get enough of her unique character and the fact that she’s so lovable, and yet, so grumpy.

“She is still very sus. She still enjoys the presence of no one. We have received 204 apps for her and will choose a good home after her cardiac work up at the vet,” the rescue concluded.

For now, Tink will remain in her foster care until she finally gets a clean bill of health. According to her latest diagnosis, she has an enlarged heart and embolism, which require extensive medical care.

When she’s finally ready to embark upon a new adventure, Tink will need a peaceful environment and someone who can provide her with medical support to thrive.

In return, I’m absolutely pawsitive that this old lady will reciprocate and make her future owners’ lives more colorful!
