For most of us, it was just a childhood dream. But, for Julia Fraticelli, a girl from New Jersey, it actually became reality when she adopted Apricot! She picked her up from the streets, never in a million years imagining that this tiny pup would grow into a real-life Bambi!
With her light brown coat covered in adorable white dots, Apricot practically embodies this beloved Disney character – and people just can’t get enough of her!
From Days To Live To A Beloved Family Member
As special and unique-looking as she is, Apricot’s backstory isn’t exactly glamorous. Even more, it’s truly heartbreaking!
She was found by her New Jersey owner months ago when she was just a little puppy. Back then, Apricot looked nothing like herself. She was starving on the streets, had worms, and was only days away from the inevitable.
Thanks to Julia, all that changed within weeks! As soon as she spotted her in such a terrible condition, she knew she couldn’t leave her alone.
“8 months ago: off the side of the road, filled with worms, hadn’t eaten in days, a few days left to live. Now: healthy, happy, cuddles, full life ahead of her to live,” Julia wrote on TikTok.
In no time, Apricot adjusted to her new home, starting a brand-new journey with her mom and her new family. To say that she did an amazing job blending in is an understatement!
Today, Apricot is not only a beloved family member, she’s actually a social media star! Recently, her video on TikTok garnered the attention of thousands of people admiring her unique, Bambi-like appearance.
Many people agreed that Apricot’s real name should, in fact, be Bambi.
“If u didn’t call her deer or Bambi then you missed out,” one commenter wrote.
“I’ve seen enough, get this good boy some antlers,” another joked.
“She looks like a Disney Princess,” the third one added.
To make things even cuter, Julia confirmed that Apricot’s middle name, indeed, is Bambi – from now on.

It’s safe to say that Apricot is one happy-go-lucky pup today. She’s a full-time cuddle bug who enjoys lounging on the couch and receiving all the love from her mom.
And, when she’s not in her cuddle mode – Apricot is all about her treats, especially chew sticks.
However, the best thing about her life with Julia is having a furry sister.
Although she wasn’t sure how Apricot would react to having a sibling, her relationship with her Shih Tzu sister eased all her doubts. The two are practically inseparable. They cuddle, play, and sleep together as if they had known each other forever.
Once a dog in need, barely surviving on harsh streets, Apricot is now a Disney princess living her best life. And, she couldn’t be happier!
