Matted Pup From California Who Was Shaking With Fear After Earthquake Makes A Stunning Transformation

Dogs seek love in the arms of their family where they feel safe and cherished.

Regrettably, many homeless dogs have nobody to turn to for comfort and are forced to endure loneliness and fear.

Royce is one of the abandoned dogs who yearned for a better future as he struggled to survive the difficult life on the streets.

When a 5.2-magnitude earthquake hit Southern California, Royce didn’t have loving humans who would console him and cuddle him until he felt better.

Instead, the little matted dog was curled up at the end of a cul-de-sac behind a school, feeling lonely and terrified.

Will anyone offer him a helping hand?

A Good Samaritan came across Royce hours after the earthquake. He seemed shocked and couldn’t stop trembling with fear.

As soon as Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, and her volunteer, Mary Nakiso, learned about the homeless pup struggling on the streets, they headed straight to the scene in order to help him.

Nakiso reached the location first and saw that someone had left food and water for the dog.

“[There were] sticks in his fur, and [he was] shaking and scared. [The] poor baby was probably so scared when we had that earthquake,” Hall wrote on Facebook.

She felt heartbroken because nobody came to Royce’s aid.

Nakiso sat next to the dog while she waited for Hall. She tried to comfort him and promised him that he would soon be safe.

The pup seemed to understand that the kind volunteer was there to help him.

When Suzette Hall arrived, she saw how frightened Royce was. In order to prevent him from running away, Hall and Nakiso used gates and trash to block his path.

However, when they approached the dog, the kind rescuers were stunned by his reaction. He didn’t try to escape, and he let them slip a leash over his neck.

The doggo was grateful because Hall and Nakiso came to his rescue.

Hall took him in her arms, placed him in her car, and rushed him to Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine, California.

The vet examined him and ran lab tests that showed that Royce was fortunately in good health.

The vet staff bathed him and shaved his matted fur, giving him a stunning makeover. Once they removed Royce’s knotted hair filled with sticks, the pup looked unrecognizable.

He was pleased with the glow-up, and he kept smiling.

Before long, Hall placed him in a foster home where his fosters doted on him. The pup felt safe and happy because he was surrounded by good humans who cared about him.

Right now, Royce is searching for his forever family who will love him like he always wished for.
