For most dogs, grooming is usually not necessary, or it’s something that is rarely done. However, certain breeds can grow a lot of fur, and that can make it really hard for them to move.
Not only that, but the excessive fur can obscure their vision, and it can even cause some health problems like infections.
That’s why it’s important for all owners to regularly groom their dogs’ fur so that these problems never occur.
What happened to the dogs in this story is really quite shocking. It’s an example of how dogs look when they are completely neglected and why we have to do more to help street pups.
What Happened To These Dogs?
When Audray, from Luck’s Rescue, first found these two severely matted dogs on the streets of Georgia, she was heartbroken by their condition.
The pups were severely matted, and they were struggling for quite a while by that point. They looked both hungry and thirsty. The pups were desperate for help, and it came in the form of Audray.
She was going to work hard to help them regain their confidence, and she was going to get rid of all that excess fur that they were carrying.
The rescuer noticed just how happy these dogs were around her. Even though they looked unhappy at first, their tails were wagging the whole time, so she just knew that they trusted her.
They were both taken to a shelter where the rescuers made some calls to the local groomers to see if anyone was available right away.
One of them responded immediately and came to help these pups. Everyone was still shocked by how much fur they had.
One Dog Had A Huge Surprise
When the whole procedure was done, the dogs looked so relieved. The amount of fur on the ground was just astounding.
And, they looked so much better. I mean, the difference was incredible. Shortly after that, they examined the dogs to see if they were healthy.
Right at that moment, they learned something surprising about one of them. She was pregnant and was going to give birth to puppies soon.
As for their health, they were both doing fine and had no major issues. All they really need is some food and affection.
In the meantime, the amazing Georgia rescuers are going to try and find a forever home for them. It might take a while, but they are not going to give up.
It’s really wonderful to see how these beautiful dogs and their babies will now have a future, thanks to Audray and the other rescuers. I hope they find an amazing family as soon as possible.
