As a former dog owner myself, I have experienced the panic that sets in when you think you have lost your dog.
On one occasion, I was just playing with my pup, and I decided to relax a little bit. It took me a while before I noticed that something drew his attention outside the yard, so he rushed to see what it was.
I started getting worried, so I went after him, and luckily, I was able to find him pretty quickly, as it was a pretty small town, so there was little chance that he would get lost.
Nevertheless, situations like this do happen to people, and some are less fortunate when they let their dog off the leash.
Something like this happened to an owner from Ohio who lost her dog when he was startled by a loud noise during a walk.
A Desperate Search
When the unfortunate event occurred, Frank’s owner started searching for him through the woods, but he was nowhere to be found.
It looked like there was a strong possibility of rain and a storm in the area, and this made her even more worried, so she contacted Reaves Recovery and Help in Ohio.
They responded to the call and asked around about the pup, so they would have better chances of finding him.
The rescuers learned that he was an emotional support dog, so finding him was really important.
Because the rescuers were well equipped, they were certain that they were going to find the dog pretty quickly.
They took out their thermal drones and started searching for the dog. After looking for a while, a rescuer noticed a red dot on the drone.
It Really Is Frank!
He moved it in closer to see if it was really Frank. It was! And, it looked like he was okay. He appeared to be a little wet from the rain, but otherwise okay.
They saw that he got tangled up in all of the grass because of his leash, so he wasn’t able to get very far. That was good news because who knows how this situation could have ended?
The rescuers led Frank’s owner directly to him, so he was finally reunited with his favorite human. It was so heartwarming to see the relief on the pup’s face when it was finally all over.
Thanks to these amazing people, Frank gets to go back to his home. It’s really amazing how a piece of technology helped find this pup and give him his old life back.
It really goes to show how much we can accomplish when we actually work together. I am so happy to see that Frank is doing so well after what he went through.
