Dogs are not breeding machines.
Sadly, many reckless backyard breeders do not see them that way. Instead of taking responsible measures to protect these furry creatures, they use them merely as a means to achieve their selfish goals – primarily to make money.
As a result, many “used” dogs end up abandoned on the streets in conditions that could only be described as the worst. They are left with no food, water, or proper shelter… at the mercy of the unknown.
One such case recently occurred in California when a dog named Lady Bug was betrayed by her owner. Fortunately, she was alone for only a little while…
Found Begging For Help On A Street Corner

Lady Bug’s situation was far from ideal. She stood on the street corner in Southern California for hours, begging random strangers for help with just the saddest eyes.
On top of her abandonment, Lady Bug’s health was compromised. She had a severely swollen paw and was all covered in fleas. The amount of pain she was in was just unimaginable.
“Begging for help on a street corner. Her leg so swollen, infected and painful. Covered in fleas and her sad droopy, cherry eyes, and used for breeding,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.

Thankfully, Lady Bug’s situation didn’t go unnoticed. Suzette Hall, a long-time California rescuer, along with her fellow rescuers, immediately sprang into action, hoping to bring this big girl to safety.
Given Lady Bug’s friendly nature, she wasn’t so hard to capture – at all. This lovely pup practically gave in the minute her rescuers approached her, as if she knew that everything would be fine.

Only minutes into their meeting, Hall safely loaded her into the car. The next thing on the list was to subject Lady Bug to a vet exam.
Sadly, her health situation was far worse than they initially assumed.
She Has A Long Recovery Road Ahead Of Her

According to the vets, Lady Bug had a formation of a hard mass on her leg, which required further tests and treatment. All her caregivers could do at the moment was clean her wound and put a bandage on it.
“We’re going to wash the wound and bandage it and then it’s going to be weeks and weeks of bandage and wound care to get it to heal and hopefully grow new skin,” Hall stated in an update post.
On top of everything, Lady Bug was diagnosed with a mammary tumor. When the time is right, the pup will be subjected to surgery in order to remove it.

This poor girl has a long recovery road ahead of her.
“She has a big road of healing and surgery ahead of her,” Hall concluded.
Despite all, Lady Bug preserved her happy-go-lucky pup spirit and shares love with everyone she meets.
Hopefully, her condition is only temporary, and soon, we will be receiving the sweetest updates from her caregivers (possibly from a loving home)!
Stay brave, Lady Bug! The community cheers for you.
