California Woman Was Startled By Noise Coming From The Walls In Bathroom Only To Find Something Furry Inside

It was an ordinary day for this woman from California who was just minding her own business when something startled her.

At first, she thought the sound was just the pipes. It came and went, soft but strange enough to make her stop and listen. But as days passed, the noise became clearer: a howl that didn’t belong in a bathroom.

She checked the vents, the floor, even outside, but it was no use. The sound was coming from inside the wall itself.

That’s when she called for help. And once rescuers started cutting into the wall, the truth behind that noise caught everyone off guard.

What Could It Be?

After this incident happened, the homeowners immediately called the Kirkland Foundation in California, and they decided to help the family.

They wrote in a Facebook post: “[She] reported howling coming from the walls of her bathroom.

A rescuer named Joey Phipps came to the home where the noise was reported. Brandi and Sydney Sherman also came to help him.

The rescuers noted that the call was similar to the one they had received a few months back where someone reported a cat had gotten stuck inside the walls somehow.

After the rescue team investigated the noise and checked inside the bathroom walls, their suspicions were confirmed.

Kirkland Foundation wrote: “Apparently, two kittens had been romping around her attic, tumbled down an opening between the walls and were now trapped behind the wall space of her bathroom.

There was a small problem, though. This would require cutting through the walls directly in order to save the kittens.

The homeowners agreed, and the rescuers immediately got down to business. The walls had to be torn down.

A Tough Rescue

Kirkland Foundation continued their post by saying: “Once the homeowner came to grips with the need for an unanticipated remodel, [Phipps] cut holes in her bathroom walls, extracted the little ones and handed them off to the Fresno T.N.R. team for cleaning.

Phipps was able to pull the first kitten out of the walls. He was examined, and the kitten didn’t seem to be injured.

Then, he continued and tried to extract another cat, but the problem was that it was stuck behind the sink. The damage to the walls was significant, but they were able to get the second kitten as well.

After they were rescued, Phipps and his team made sure to scan the house one more time to make sure that there were no more strays around.

It was a brilliant rescue that took a long time to execute, but it was worth it. These adorable kittens are now saved and will get a chance to start a new life.

The Kirkland Foundation took them in, and the staff was so happy to see them. In their post, they ended by saying: “The little ones are now safe, comfy and howling in another bathroom (mine).
