Frank, a sweet little mini Dachshund, has been the center of his mom Jordan Mandel’s world ever since she welcomed him into her Hoboken, New Jersey home.
With all the affection and care Jordan gave him, Frank grew into a confident, happy pup. Always sociable and loved by everyone he met, Jordan thought the local dog parks would be the perfect place for him to play, socialize, and make plenty of friends.
But during one visit, something unfolded that neither Jordan nor Frank expected, leaving them both with heavy hearts.
Frank Feels Left Out

On that particular afternoon, Frank arrived at the New Jersey dog park full of excitement. He sat patiently beside Jordan, watching the other dogs as they chased one another and wrestled in the grass.
But time went by, and none of the dogs approached him or tried to include him in their fun.

Eventually, Frank decided to gather his courage and ran toward the group, eager to join in the play. Sadly, his attempt went unnoticed.
At first, Frank didn’t understand what was happening. He dashed forward, hoping the others would chase after him. But when he turned his head, no one was following.

The other dogs weren’t interested, and Frank’s excitement quickly turned into confusion. To him, it felt like he had been invisible.
Jordan watched her beloved pup running around by himself, and it broke her heart. Wanting to share the bittersweet moment, she posted a video on TikTok with a caption that captured Frank’s personality perfectly:
“It’s fine bc Frank is more of a people person anyway.”
The clip struck a chord with viewers, going viral almost instantly. Many shared how touched and saddened they were by Frank’s experience.
Frank’s True Personality Shines

Fortunately, that lonely day at the park wasn’t the whole story. Jordan explained that some outings are wonderful, while others are quieter.
She pointed out that the park has two sections: one for small dogs and one for larger ones. Interestingly, Frank often prefers hanging out with the bigger dogs, perhaps drawn to their calmer and steadier energy.
And when he comes across another Dachshund? The connection is instant. Frank is also especially fond of Corgis, maybe because of their similar body shape and lively spirit.

To show that Frank does in fact have plenty of happy moments, Jordan later posted another video. This time, it showed Frank running freely with other dogs, tail wagging, and clearly full of joy.
That’s the Frank his mom knows best: the playful, spirited pup who lights up when surrounded by good company.
Because in the end, every dog deserves to feel included, and Frank’s loving nature proves he’ll never be short on affection or friendship.
