Frank, an adorable mini Dachshund, has been the apple of his mom, Jordan Mandel, ever since she welcomed him to her home in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Thanks to the unconditional love that his mom gave him, Frank blossomed into a happy and confident dog.
Since he was a sociable pup and everyone adored him, his mom thought that he would have a lot of fun and make many doggy friends whenever she took him to a dog park.
However, what happened at the dog park on one occasion took her by surprise and left many people heartbroken.
The Pup Realizes He’s Been Left Out
When Mandel brought Frank to the dog park in New Jersey, he was in a good mood.
At first, the pup sat by his mom’s feet and observed the other dogs as they played and chased each other.
None of the dogs paid any attention to Frank nor did they come up to him in order to ask him to join them.
After waiting for a while, he gathered up the courage and joined the other dogs who were having fun. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem to notice him at all.
Frank didn’t realize it at first, so he would approach them and then start running. As he sprinted, the pup was convinced that the dogs were chasing him.
When he stopped running and looked behind him, Frank realized that nobody was running after him. Since the other dogs weren’t interested in playing with him, he felt invisible.
Mandel couldn’t help feeling sad for her pup, who ended up playing by himself.
She shared the footage on TikTok. Focusing on the positives, Mandel captioned the video: “It’s fine bc Frank is more of a people person anyway.”
The TikTok community was heartbroken to see Frank being left out at the dog park.
Frank Does Have Doggy Friends
Luckily, the video captures just one scene, but it doesn’t tell the whole story.
According to Mandel, every visit to the dog park is unpredictable… sometimes joyful, sometimes not.
She brings Frank to the dog park that’s divided into two sections… one for bigger dogs and the other for smaller pups.
Frank likes to approach big dogs, most likely because they are less energetic, which he prefers.
Yet, if Frank sees a fellow Dachshund, he is drawn to them. He also likes hanging out with Corgis. His mom thinks that they gravitate toward each other because they have a similar body type.
Wishing to show her followers that Frank isn’t always friendless, his mom shared a totally different video that lifted the spirits of the TikTok community. In the clip, we can see Frank playing with other dogs and having the time of his life.
And, that’s how we always want him to be – happy, playful, and with dogs who enjoy his company.
