That’s exactly what Katmai the Husky and his owner discovered during what began as just another ordinary walk.
An Unexpected Companion
Katmai and his mom were strolling through their Wyoming neighborhood when they noticed something unusual—a fox trailing behind them.
Spotting one so close to home was surprising enough, but what shocked them even more was how calm and curious the fox seemed.
It almost looked like the wild animal wanted to befriend Katmai. At first, the Husky didn’t know what to think. But when the fox followed them all the way home, Katmai decided to give him a chance.
Before long, the two began playing chase, darting around in pure joy. Watching Katmai bond with this unexpected visitor brought a huge smile to his owner’s face.
The moment was even more touching because Katmai had recently gone through heartbreak. He lost his best friend, Yoyo the cat, and his family worried he might never bounce back.

Moose was an affectionate little dog looking for a chance at a better life. The plan was to foster him until he found his forever family.

As Moose settled in, his foster family realized they couldn’t imagine letting him go. Katmai and Moose formed an instant bond, and the whole family knew he was meant to stay.
Moose officially became part of the family, and now he and Katmai get to share countless adventures together—with the possibility of running into their fox friend again.
