Or, are you the one who, despite all the heartbreak, has to leave your furry friend for most of the day, only to return at sunset, hoping not to find your dog (or your apartment) in disarray?
Being in the second group, Daiana Kreiman, from Miami, Florida, was recently back in the office after working remotely, and she had one dilemma: how would her Golden Retriever, Pumba, handle it?
She decided to install a home camera to check on Pumba every once in a while, and what she found him doing on his very first day left her absolutely speechless!
Is He Really Doing That?
Daiana was never worried about Pumba making a mess, chewing on her clothes, or doing anything contrary to ‘decent pup behavior.’ This sweet boi is a fully trained and certified dog, and he definitely knows all the manners perfectly.
But, there was one thing even Pumba wasn’t a fan of: being alone. That’s why when she and her husband had to leave Pumba for the first time – and for a whole day, Daiana decided to do something about it. She installed a camera to check on him in case something unexpected happened.
Little did she know that Pumba, in fact, would do something that doesn’t align with his character – or his breed! He waited for his mom and dad to leave, climbed up on the bed, and slept throughout the entire day!
“They left me alone at home… So I did what any responsible adult would do: Took over the bed. Belly up. Zero regrets,” Daiana wrote in the video she posted on TikTok.
Pumba literally didn’t budge. He made himself comfortable with his belly and legs up and enjoyed some quiet time.
Stunned by the hilarious scene she had just witnessed, Daiana decided to share it with her followers. In just days, Pumba’s video went viral, causing rib-tickling reactions from people all over the world.
“I swear they wait for us to leave, so they can finally relax,” one commenter wrote.
“Lying on the bed as if he worked a 12 hr shift,” another person joked.
Although this is the first time Pumba surprised his Florida family with his “day off,” finding him in weird, yet cute sleeping positions isn’t that rare at all!
Pumba just loves to make himself comfy, no matter how silly it looks. He even has that hilarious grin on his face when he’s caught in the middle of his nap, and his parents just love it.
They don’t mind his weird positions. They don’t mind that he took over their bed. As long as Pumba is perfectly happy and relaxed, even without them being in the house, everything’s fine.
Pumba Living To The Fullest
Aside from his “peaceful naps,” another thing Pumba can brag about is the fact that he lives the most fabulous, Golden Retriever life.
That’s right!
He doesn’t just enjoy his cozy time in the house, he does so much more! Pumba plays and trains with his dad in the yard, cuddles for most of the day on weekends, chases golden hours with his parents, and takes on exciting city adventures whenever possible.
The one thing Pumba loves in particular is the beach.
Just being on the beach, looking at the ocean, and playing in the sand makes Pumba endlessly happy. That’s his favorite activity. That’s where he truly enjoys himself.
So, no…he’s not just a ‘lazy boy’ who can’t wait for his parents to go to work. He’s an enthusiastic, energetic pup who can’t wait to take on many more exciting adventures. He’s a real Golden Retriever!
