California Woman Checks Pet Camera Expecting Chaos At Home But Finds A Surprising Scene Instead

While dogs usually adore being around their humans, they also enjoy the freedom of having the house to themselves. In many cases, that pent-up energy comes out in destructive ways. Furniture, appliances, or decorations often become victims of their excitement.

But sometimes, dogs break the stereotype. There are exceptions that surprise us with their calmness, leaving everything untouched even after hours on their own.

Such was the case for three pups in Los Angeles, California, who not only avoided trouble but also had a fascinating reason for their perfect behavior.

When Shima Circle returned home to find her house exactly as she left it, she still felt uneasy checking the footage from her pet camera. A seasoned dog mom, she knew the kind of chaos dogs could create when left unsupervised, and she wanted to see it for herself.

But the monitor showed something surprising. Her house remained spotless, with no overturned cushions or shredded belongings. Not a single sign of mischief appeared during her absence.

What really caught her attention, though, was the sight of Whiskey, her Pit Bull and Labrador Retriever mix. His unusual reaction had her both fascinated and laughing, prompting her to share the moment with her TikTok followers on @sellwithshima.

Her other dogs, Toby the Golden Retriever and Biggie the Basenji, behaved well too, though she admitted that was expected of them.

“They don’t normally cause any mischief when I’m out, but Toby is usually the one who wanders round the house looking for us,” Shima said in an interview

Still, Whiskey hardly moved from the couch, and Shima explained the reason why.

“I made my own playlist on Apple Music called Dog Therapy, and I play that every time I leave the house. It quickly puts them to bed each time,” Shima said.

This might sound surprising, but it lines up with expert advice. According to petMD, classical music has calming effects on dogs and can even lull them into a trance-like state. That was exactly the kind of music Whiskey and his siblings were listening to.

Viewers React To Whiskey’s Zen Moment

Unsurprisingly, Shima’s video drew a huge reaction online, far more than she anticipated.

There were many reactions and we highlighted some of the comments.

“He’s literally doing shavasana. That’s incredible,” one viewer commented.

“this dog is so LA lol,” another chimed in.

A third simply said: “He is zen, He is peace, He is just a baby”

We agree: he’s just a baby, and it was pure joy watching him find peace in his happy place.

Keep living your best life, Whiskey.
