Philadelphia Woman Calls Strangers To Say Goodbye To Her Senior Pup Before She Crosses The Rainbow Bridge

Philadelphia Woman Calls Strangers To Say Goodbye To Her Senior Pup Before She Crosses The Rainbow Bridge

Losing your furry friend can be one of the hardest things a pet owner can go through.

Spending all those moments with them, watching them learn new things, sleeping in all those different positions, or even just looking out the window becomes a part of your daily routine that, knowing you no longer have it, breaks your heart into a million different pieces.

Yet, we must learn to live with the fact that they are now in a better place, playing with adorable four-legged friends on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

However, when one dog mom found out that her pup would no longer be by her side, she decided to throw her the best goodbye party ever.

A pet photographer from Philadelphia by the name of Nayana Gadde planned to spend her day inside her loving home when, all of a sudden, she came across a Facebook post that called out her name.

One dog mom who just found out she needed to put her beloved dog down decided to throw a last-minute goodbye party in the middle of the street.

“This is my girl Louise, and if you live around East Passyunk, you may have seen her begging for pets and using her missing front leg for extra pity over the last decade,” Marlana, Lou’s mom, wrote on Facebook.

Marlana invited everybody to meet up on the street in Philadelphia so that her adorable Lou could get spoiled with treats and pets one last time.

Gadde immediately grabbed her camera and made her way to the location.

The Sweetest Goodbye

When Gadde saw just how many people arrived, it’s safe to say that her heart was overflowing with joy.

“I love seeing how much people love their pets with gestures such as this. I’m an associate photographer for The Tilly Project, which is a worldwide network of photographers that offer end of life sessions. My sessions are free with a donation of choice to City of Elderly Love, a local senior pet rescue,” Gadde told The Dodo.

Even though it was freezing cold in Philly that day and the party was on such short notice, the amount of people that showed up was absolutely astonishing.

Not only did everybody come in such high spirits, but they also brought a lot of cheese – Lou’s favorite snack.

You can watch the heartwarming get-together here:

You can only imagine how happy Lou was seeing all those people who came out just for her. And, her mom couldn’t explain just how much it meant to her that her fur baby had the best last day ever.

“They all seemed so grateful that random strangers came out in the cold to meet Louise. There’s nothing more she loved than a stranger with food” Gadde said.

Final Word

I just want to take this moment to thank each and every person who came out to say goodbye to Lousie.

Not only did you send her across the rainbow bridge with the biggest smile on her face, but you also showed her mom and the rest of the world that the world is full of incredible people who are willing to do anything to see someone else smile.

Even if that smile has fur and sharp teeth!

Thank you all… you are truly incredible people!
