Having a dog that is very hyperactive might seem like an easy task at first, but you only realize what you are in for after a few days have passed.
People assume that they only need to deal with their hyperactivity during the day, but they are completely wrong.
There is no sleep for them. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is; it’s playtime for them. 4 A.M.? Doesn’t matter, let’s play.
While I believe that all dogs deserve a chance to be adopted, think hard if this type of dog is for you because surrendering it would break its spirit, and that’s not good.
This woman from New Jersey also had an opportunity to save a sweet dog, and what she discovered soon after surprised her.
She Is So Hyperactive
When Rubie was first found by rescuers, she was just a friendly stray dog who lived on the street with other dogs.
Shortly after, the rescuers transferred her to a New Jersey shelter, where they believed that she would have better chances of finding a home.
While that did wonders for her chances, the problems started because of her hyperactivity. She was adopted and then surrendered by two families.
It’s really heartbreaking to hear that this was the reason she ended up being abandoned by her new family, but it’s good that they sent her back because that’s when everything changed for Rubie.
Shortly after, she met Daniela. The woman instantly knew that Rubie was her dog, and she just fell in love with the pup immediately.
She adopted her and took the dog to her home in New Jersey, where she settled in almost immediately. It’s no surprise, really. She is so friendly that it took her no time to adapt.
How Does She Have So Much Energy?
Daniela immediately recognized that Rubie was a hyperactive dog and that she would require a bit more effort because of that.
At one point, she was just working on the computer when the pup came to her and started barking. Daniela turned only to see that Rubie started wiggling her whole body and her head because she wanted to play.
It took Daniela by surprise because she had never met a dog like this. The more Daniela got excited, the more Rubie reciprocated.
The only time she had seen the pup grumpy is when she was asleep, and it kind of makes sense. She doesn’t get to run around and wiggle when she is sleeping.
Whenever Daniela was going through something, Rubie would just approach her and cuddle up to her in hopes of cheering her up.
When this ended up working, the pup jumped to the floor and started aggressively wiggling again in hopes that her owner would come to play with her.
It’s really wholesome how this friendly dog ended up changing her life around just by being the most adorable and fun-loving pup. She really is living her best life with Daniela.
