A Vet’s Refusal That Saved A Life
Teddy was only three years old when he lost his mom. It was a heartbreaking moment for the dog who had adored her deeply.
Naturally, one would expect her husband to step in and comfort Teddy. But instead, he turned his back on him.
Rather than surrendering Teddy to a shelter, he chose a far more final option: euthanasia.
Teddy was moments away from losing his life when a compassionate veterinarian intervened. The vet refused to carry out the euthanasia.
Thanks to this act of kindness, Teddy’s life was spared. He was soon transferred to Roadog Rescue, a Southern California-based organization dedicated to saving dogs in need.
Teddy’s obesity had caused severe breathing issues, and he required palate surgery. Thankfully, the procedure was a success.
With the support of the rescue team, Teddy began to shed weight and improve both physically and emotionally.
The staff at Roadog Rescue were thrilled with his progress and decided to share his story through a video on their social media account, @roadogrescue.

The video chronicling Teddy’s difficult journey quickly gained traction. Viewers flooded the comments with love and encouragement, hoping he would soon find a forever home.
