The rescuers at Sidewalk Specials found a sweet little puppy on the side of the road. She was sitting in the dirt with the saddest look on her beautiful face.
The fur baby seemed to be waiting for someone to notice her and extend her a helping hand when she needed it the most.
As soon as she saw the rescuers, she wagged her little tail and her eyes started glimmering with hope. The puppy knew that they were there to save her.
After the rescue team found out that the fur baby’s owners didn’t want her, they felt saddened. One of the rescuers took the precious pup in their arms and held her close.
The whole team was determined to find her the best possible home.
Getting The Care She Needs At A Foster Home
The pup’s heroes rushed her to the vet clinic for a medical checkup. The vet diagnosed her with mange. The dog’s caregivers gave her a bath and tucked her in a little sweater.
The fur baby, later named Halo, needed a lot of love and care, and her human friends found her an emergency foster.
At her foster home, Halo felt safe and loved for the first time in her life.
The puppy’s foster mom had a dog named Safari. The two canines became best friends and spent their time playing and hugging.
The Forever Family Of Her Dreams
It didn’t take long for delightful Halo to find a forever home. After spending two weeks in foster care, the fur baby was ready to meet her family. They couldn’t wait to have her in their arms.
When Halo’s forever family met her, their hearts melted with love. The pup’s human siblings were particularly moved when they saw Halo for the first time.
“When I first saw her, Lily and me started crying,” one of Halo’s human siblings, Zac, told The Dodo.
Halo gets showered with infinite love. Her siblings kiss her and snuggle with her all the time. Ella, her youngest human sister, sings lullabies to her while holding her in her arms.
Halo loves picking up her siblings from school. While waiting for them in the car, Halo sometimes falls asleep. As soon as she hears their voices, she sticks her head out of the window to greet them.
Her family adores Halo, and her mom credits her for changing their life for the better.
“She is just the most intelligent, lovable, amazing dog, and having her in our family not only changed her life, but it’s changed our life as well, so much, for the better,” Melanie added.
Halo lives her dream life. She loves playing fetch and snuggling with her humans. She feels cherished and adored for the first time in her life. The adorable canine will never feel rejected or abandoned again.
